  1. 7am looks bad for heavy rainfall according to metoffice that what shows develops much bigger just south bicester looks 32+

  6. dont know reliabilty of forecasting lightening storms but meteox has level 3 lightening storm for the 3rd april in midlands http://meteox.com/forecastloop.aspx?type=3&continent=europa
  7. agreed all we had is low mist which seemingly lasting forever this side of water. Not impressed that storm was coming which hit yarmouth as it was on trajectory to hit wash then us. Alast the thing ran out of steam before us. Just little bit of rain which is needed here we had so little. Hope better day but mist goto move on to see it.
  8. might been one passed us this afternoon one lightening strike but thunder hardly audible. Bit damp squid, the other day not expected do nothing turned out more potent. There is moisture in there but hanging onto it. Some models predicting this deapen in the atlantic return more potent later.

  10. Crikey like going from fridge to the frying pan here is that 19c for here summer sun. invasion sunday to get sun tan look of it. One downside living in the coast its murder driving here when invaded.
  11. fantastic pics taken by everyone. Checking data on weather display noticed weird issue can all instruments have spikes at once and last 15 mins or so. Got sharp drop hpa not massive looked only 6hpa. My windspeed excelerated sharply from 8 to 15mph again not much, However humidity jumped from 45 to 85% and finally sharp increase in dewpoint registered from 4 to 11%. All the setting went back to previous levels before it happened. What could caused them to do this all at once started around 11.30 ended 11-45. Does this indicate convective event during this period of storm development it was before the lightening started and the big massive burst rainfall we had which weather display calculated 48mm/hr burst, which like said did not last too long thankfully before returned to normal heavy shower.
  12. finally storm gone retreated nice sunshine according to rain gauge 9.3mm.
  13. There shallow low expected wednesday comes from think poland area looking map slams into bridlington area uk. What sort trouble expected with sea swells.
  14. heavy rainfall now again upto 8.7mm we catching up to rest country winter rainfall Amazing like a bus wait all winter hadly rains 17.mm then today we get pounding
  15. probably down to location its got the lincs wolds to the north and wash to east. Sleaford close to fenlands of uk to boot.
  16. first very similar cloud just had. First did not look like would drop anything then suddenly 2 lightening/thunder claps then all hell broke. At one point it was running 16mm/hr rainfall thankfully not long. Still above now starting excelerate rainfall just hanging about.
  17. had real cracker here rain yay whats that wet stuff forgot what it looked like. Came down heavy some lightening too. My rain gauge currently says 5.4mm fell, still but very light now.

  19. reading on forum a poster says mid afternoon is sweet spot and main focal points look mid afternoon Derbs, Notts, Lincs and further south Dorset.
  20. ok people has it been put on torro watch NIckF posted. Yesterday great big anvil cloudbase massive beautiful structure and was sure it was trailing developing funnel cloud twisting in air but was not 100%. New should took photo of this never thought to get opinion whether just trail from the cloud or was funnel cloud.
  21. sorry knocker not sure when you get storm cloud dont always rain passes by without rain. Often we been predicted rainfall but passes by despite looks heavy full water. Not very good explaining things knocker sadly
  22. Always wanted to know why it rains on place the same cloud does not in another just passes it. I have assumed its down to pressure varients . Puzzle never understood.
