  1. Yes - in Brighton today, and the tops of tall buildings are lost in the fog. Significantly cooler as a result - around 16C.
  2. After around 4 weeks of that N/NE breeze (although more like a gale at times) the wind finally switched around today and is now firmly Southerly. Not as hot as yesterday at 26.5C, but plenty warm enough.
  3. Comparatively cooler this morning with some light cloud. Then the skies cleared, and there has been a dramatic rise in temperature. 21.6C at 13.00, 27.7C at 15.00 and it's still climbing now. Feeling really very hot now.
  4. Still lightly raining here as it has done nearly all day. 5.6mm of rain so far - current temp: 4.8C, just dropped a little from today's max of 5.9C
  5. The rain is just starting to ease now, since starting at around 10.30 this morning. 16.2mm to date, with some local flooding on the roads.
  6. A very different feel to this evening. The temp has levelled out at +3.6C and doesn't show much sign of falling further. This time last night it was -4C.
  7. Each morning is getting colder! -5.4 the low overnight. That's the coldest for us since 1 Dec 2015
  8. -1.7 the overnight low for us on the coast. According to my records, that's the lowest overnight temp since 18 Jan this year.
  9. Turning into something quite significant here - 30mm+ now since midnight and another torrential burst of rain has just started. Surface water flooding on the roads, which will almost certainly lead to another sewage discharge on the beaches due to the overflow. The wind has now gone round to the south and is blowing strongly.
  10. Some serious rainfall here today. 23mm since midnight, and another very heavy burst just at the moment, combined with a strong and gusty wind from the east. An evening to be staying in...
