    Pressure has stabilised now at 988.1. There was quite a bit of local flooding earlier when the squall went through - rainfall total for today - 16.4mm.

    The rain has arrived. Barometer continuing to fall very quickly - now at 1000.1mb, and temperature steady at 8.7C.

    Yes - frost on the car this morning, but we've got a very rapid temperature rise happening now. In the last hour we've gone from just above zero to 7.5 C and it's still climbing...

    The wind has increased significantly this afternoon, and with a max temp today of 5.4 it's feeling very cold indeed.

    Another day with the anemometer on the weather station reading zero, and the wind farm off the coast at a virtual standstill. This seems to have been the pattern (on and off) for some weeks now.

    We had around just over an hour of heavy rain here on the coast and it's stopped now - heading northwards! Now the wind has really increased,,, Total rain today since midnight - 24mm.

    Yes, round 2 starting with fairly continuous rumbling away to the east of here. Just 0.6mm of rain from the last lot earlier this evening. Humidity has now increased to 70% and temp still at 18.6. Phew!

    Torrential rain and thunder just the other side of the South Downs today, with localised flooding on the roads. Here on the coastal strip - nothing, and blue skies.

    Rain has arrived on the Souuh Coast in Lancing. Slowly intensifying.

    Very wild here all morning. We observed a couple of street lights on the seafront bending at the joint between the base and the pole. Never seen that before - it looked as if they were either going to snap off. Meanwhile, the 2nd fence panel has just been come down from the neighbour's fence...
