  1. On sat24 there looks to be things. But they are probably over Dorking now
  2. UKWW mentioning a developing sea breeze situation along the south coast west of Bournemouth, steering wind bringing this eastwards. Nice big clear patch developing just inland - so this could produce some interesting developments as we head towards early evening… perhaps?
  3. Hoping for at least one storm to be somewhere near here, and not moving away as it forms, or really far to the south. There’s no reason for us to not have thunder…
  4. Anyone else having issues with Blitzortung? would be nice if it didn’t keep crashing when on days where there is the potential for convective activity
  5. Well it has 90 mins to find itself and work through Godalming, according it Google forecast
  6. Hey - thanks for the great forecast! I only ask that if possible you can add some time data for regional areas, so where you say the lightning could last into the evening hours are you referring to the eastern extents of the SLGT zone? Or the moderate / high risk areas as plotted? Tony @ UKWW provides forecasts that include this level of detail and it makes all the difference I only ask / suggest as I really think you could provide some essential reading for future events, but there are a few significant things that if properly addressed would make these stand out as something special
  7. Yeah tomorrow is looking peachy, but also midweek could bring some fun
  8. Seriously we are desperate if that satisfied anyone’s storm cravings
  9. Thundery rain. Nothing more, nothing less. unless you are in Surrey - then it is nothing at all
  10. In other news: I just got the hair out of my ear that I’ve been trying to get for about 72 hours
  11. Squally rain / embedded thunder organisation is at a premium this end of the water
  12. Wow the bit with the timelapse nighttime anvil crawlers was epic!!
  13. Saturday and Wednesday looking good particularly Wednesday with a low tracking up along the channel that pulls showers up from the near continent
  14. There’s quite a stubborn cap today - I don’t think we’ve had nearly enough sun to make things pop. Watch those fledgling storms die off as they come ashore and end up as sharp showers
  15. Ironically it might be the loss of ice in the far reaches of the northern hemisphere that’s causing our weather patterns to become so unpredictable. One does have an influence on the other, but weather is a byproduct of the climate so the two are very separate - albeit somewhat connected - things.
