  1. I've been through the fine mesh models and this is when each of the models believe the Border streamer will shift it's attention to us snow starved people. IMF 1am Wednesday ICON-EU 2am Wednesday WRF 0.05 3am Wednesday Aperge 4am Wednesday GFS 0.25 4am Wednesday WRF 2km 6am Wednesday Euro 4 6am Wednesday
  2. High clouds gone, wind's due to turn NE, come on guys this must be our night! What we're watching for is the streamer currently affecting the Edinburgh area to slowly rotate and head our way.
  3. Trying to salvage some positivity, winds swinging round to the NE noticeably in to the late evening with multiple areas of convergence.
  4. I'm due to get a new front door fitted tomorrow which I've been waiting on for a couple of months now, it'll be sods law it absolutely bleaches down all night and cancels my door fitting.
  5. I've just been looking over the FAX chart archive for the BFTE. Look at the troughs we had, 24 hours worth, that's what we've been missing this time around. Notice the easterly in 2018 originated from an arctic airmass, where as this time we've been pulling in from eastern Europe as there's just been too much activity in the baltic sea. BFTE This year
  6. Tomorrow night in to Wednesday could be our time to shine, keep the faith! I've just been for a final trip to the bins and actually quite pleased with the accumulation managed over the last 6 hours.
  7. I remember reading about why that happens once but can't remember now and Google isn't helping. I did think the satellite was looking more promising but didn't want to say anything yet in case I jinx it!
  8. I've just been to take the bins out an surprisingly there's a couple of cm down from the odd showers I've managed to catch. So much potential I just hope we can cash in.
  9. It's been a while since I've seen 3 convergence lines set up like that, just need it to show up in real life now.
  10. I've got my eye on this feature that develops late tonight and stays with us until Wednesday night. Who knows if it'll come off but that's what's going to be keeping my interest.
  11. I'm keeping the faith as I still feel we're early in to this spell (earlier than we thought we'd be at this point I guess due to that pesky German low). In my experience shower activity generally increases in an evening through the night so I'm interested to see what happens later on. Wednesday does look like our best shot at the moment, which I appreciate is not what people want to hear, but there's not a lot that can be done about that! I agree that i thought we'd be in a better place by this point but it is what it is.
