  4. YEP slow to load but get there in end, keep trying, too many peeps trying to view me thinks.
  5. well things starting to look up here, as others have said, grey murk, low cloud and temps of 16c at 8.30am but now upto 24c, milky skies, and its starting to feel uncomfortable if you know what I mean. taking camera out today, mainly Peak Distict area. should be in prime spot, as I speak the sun has fully broken through.
  6. having checked sat 24 image, your spot on, here its been sun all the way from the start, just on the edge of the cloud, great sat image, temps 22 here, at least the cloud seems to be receding quickly.
  7. congratulations, I will miss your posts and thoughts, a true unbiased opinon. I remember your eallier posts having been a member for many years, espaically when you used your knowledge in constantly predicting a milder pattern one winter, what a bummer, BUT hey it was true. go for it, and good luck.
  8. moderate snow, good sized flakes, hit ground do not melt type, should provide a good covering this morning.
  9. Hi PM , still looks bad on A515. Ive most places today, Grindleford, Hathersage, Bradwell, Tideswell, and onto A6 Taddington. All of those roads are ok, usually drifts upto 6 to 10 feet. at taddington there were some monster drifts, 10 to 20 feet and maybe 50 to 60 feet long. did,nt fanct trying to get to A515, might have a look tommorrow, due to visit Biggin, Pomeroy, and Parwich. BUT may put of for a while. like you say some of this snow is going to be around for some time.
  10. great photos, and mega effort to grt there. i will have see what happens tommorow at work, i have calls in Gridlefors, Hathersage, Tideswell, and just about whole of Peak District, at least if i attempt to get there i get paid. will have fully charged camera to hand. some incredable vids and pics today.
  11. thats great, Still have pinch myself to beleive its March, with more snow to come this week.
  12. depends which way you approach, if you come in from Chesterfield via M1 then head out on A623 to Matlock, can get up to Southern slopes of Peaks, head up to Stanage and then turn right over to Beely moor. But as TM has said, you will reach blocked roads with drifts one side of road to other. Could head into Matlock, head out A6 to Cromford then up on Via Gella road to Newhaven. alternatively head to ashbounre, approach from A38 to Derby out on A52 to Ashbourne then up on A515, see how far you can get. but to be honest you could struggle to get out of town, steep hills everywhere just to get up to the peaks, as TM has said could be a long way to go to just pull up and look at a blocked road. good luck.
  13. only had it two weeks, checked on net weather new what was coming in March, also new job involves driving around Peak District all day. susposed to be in Grindleford, Tideswell, Bradwell, and good old Chelmorton on monday and tuesday, fat chance of that (or matbe not)
  14. some heavy breathing at the end, looked difficult, still if you need some liquid refreshment you just got go for it. you need a Panda for that.
