  1. It hasn't rained that much. Yes it's rained most days this week but not high totals overall. Plus it's been dry for some time so I'm sure the ground can cope. more rain to Coke but hardly anything too unusual.

I would say that you live in an area not affected much by the rain of late. It has been shocking here in nw Wales for the last week. I would say easily 100 mm this week.

  2. Yes it is interesting (not that it will verify) but I find it interesting because as that nasty little depression deepens rapidly and zips down from northern Scotland into eastern Europe into would briefly bring storm conditions to the southern North Sea with gusts around 80kts.

But anything is possible when it comes to meteorology so verification could still happen, but I agree that it's only a slim chance.

  3. The BBC made a cryptic reference to the coming winter this morning. I was watching the lovely Steph McGovern deliver a piece about energy suppliers and she said if the coming winter is any more severe than currently forecast there could be problems with our energy supple.

So which forecast is she referring to and I wonder how severe it is forecast to be! More questions than answers from Ms McGovern.

Maybe she has been to speak to John madden (he is the best forecaster ever) hahhahahahahahaha

  4.

What on earth is 'seasonal'?? Lol in all fairness if there is a storm track that far south then we will get loads of.opportunities for snow with east and North East and northerly winds frequently in the making. unless I'm reading things wrong

  5. On the topic of the cold Atlantic it seems to be sending low pressure around the cold pool and if you look at the current hurricane forecast it seems to be going around the edge towards ne America is this typical of what is thought to happen in these scenarios??

  6. The Met Office doesn't have a great record with these sort of predictions, who remembers back in 2003 after that summers record breaking heat that we (in the uk) should expect those sort of temperatures (100+F) to occur in 1 in every 3 summers....  15 summers later and it aint happened again, so whatever long range models they use I for one would not take them too seriously............

  7. Autumnal feeling day, generally overcast and feeling quite fresh after a very fresh start. Trees are taking on there autumnal hues, however, acorns and blackberries are slow to come out this year. Anyone else notice this...

A lot less blackberries this year and squirrels are everywhere
