  1. Snowing heavily here in caernarfon. Slight covering
  2. My brother in holyhead said there was a blizzard there earlier
  3. Just missed my area unfortunately but there seems to be more coming from the Irish sea
  4. When looking at the BBC forecast it shows rain over majority of wales for the following few days although they said snow showers across windward coasts.. I'm.intrigued
  5. It's sleet at best anyway... Crap crap crap. Hopefully I will get snow on Saturday or Sunday.. What do you think??
  6. The temperatures in nw wales seem to have gone up at present so we need them to drop during heavy precipitation for it to be snow. Currently raining in strong winds
  7. Can someone explain why the low is now going over Ireland and not in the Irish sea?? Is this likely to.mean.that precipitation is less.likely further.east???
  8. Seems like the low is dropping over Ireland
  9. Ddim yn meddwl Gewn ni llawer o eira mond o groeslon I fyny. Don't think we will get much snow maybe from groeslon upwards.
  10. There's been heavy snow over the NW wales for the last hour. About 2-3 inches in favourite spots... Sign of things to.come hopefully. I think we may do.very well over weekend here and in sw wales
  11. To be honest it looks good for tomorrow night especially up here in the.north
  12. Have the met office underestimated the amount sheer temperature drop during shower activity.. We could all see snow tonight maybe. What do u think
  13. We just had a hail, sleet and snow mix shower in caernarfon
  14. Yes I agree as us in North west Wales do very well with this wind.. Anything from nw to.ne tend to be good
  15. A question for someone who knows a lot regarding meteorological.. If the wind blows over Anglesey in a direction of nw quarter will thus mean.that areas like caernarfon to the south east will.actually count as inland as the space between us and the sea would then.be about 20 miles..
  16. Hi ian I think we could do well after Saturday morning...
  17. Meaning?? Its just frustrating that they haven't provided a model as of yet that can determine what's going to fall out of the sky.. I know it's a hard thing to Predict but never the less I hope they one day can do.so... Anyway hopefully it will all be snow for Wales. Who knows
  18. Copied from captain shortwave in se England thread: (hope he doesn't mind) I can't understand some of the charts. These show dew points at -2 and 850 s of -8 and yet still rain on BBC and met office. Surely for tax payers money they should be more.accurate with only two days until that time.
  19. Yes possibilities are endless even the weekend looks good for us in western wales with a fair few showers according to the last 4 runs.. We seem to do quite well from patterns similar to this.
  20. I've got to disagree with you here as I think areas near the west coast ie Pembrokeshire,Carmarthenshire Anglesey and western gwynedd will.do well from constant snow showers but all areas could see snow especially over the weekend... Probably a lot of snow on hills from Wednesday afternoon onwards too
  21. Just seen weather for the week on BBC news and the weekend looks amazing for nw and sw wales with the mountains holding precipitation there all weekend. I think we will get some serious snow in some areas lee of high ground like my area caernarfon and Anglesey and Carmarthenshire.. Hope I'm right
  22. In the last half hour the precipitation over Anglesey seems to be turning more to sleet or snow according to radar
  23. Suddenly it's snowing heavily in caernarfon... That was a shock
  24. Nothing here in caernarfon but snow in Llanberis area I think
