    Excuse the IMBY post but what are the chances of the PPN being snow south of the M4? I'm guessing as its only 24 hours away there isn't going to be too much change but I will clutch every single straw until it happens lol.

    This is the next best thing to snow in my opinion so I will enjoy the morning dog walks next week. Still have a teeny weeny bit of hope of seeing snow IMBY tomorrow but it's most probably going to be rain. I hope you guys in more favoured positions see the white stuff tomorrow! Merry Christmas!

    Some very conflicting opinions on the latest models in the model discussion thread. Some saying upgrades, some are saying downgrades. How are we looking at the moment?

    I've been following the model thread today and it seems things are looking very promising for cold. However, I'm trying my best not to get too excited because we're still in the unreliable timeframe. I REALLY hope it isn't doom and gloom tomorrow, long may this cold theme continue :cold:

    Although I tend to agree with you, a colder start to December is looking on the cards now. This is even backed up by the MetO outlook: "Temperatures often below average and rather cold at times, especially where fog lingers, but somewhat milder in the far northwest." What happens after that is anybody's guess and that's what makes it enjoyable. I'm kinda glad nobody knows what's going to happen 2 weeks+ from now. It always gives you hope that cold weather is just around the corner.

    Yay! Some good news for coldies. There seems to be a lot of optimism in the Mod thread but I get the impression we may have to wait a while before we see any significant cold. I'd happily go another month of rain and muck if it meant there was something special at the end.

    Although I'm new and struggle to understand his analysis, I always enjoy his bolded summary. I get the impression he has neither a cold or mild bias. Don't get me wrong, I love a cold ramper (I'm one of them lol!) but it's good to have a dose of reality at times.
