It looks like arriving in Yate bang on 5am just as the street light goes on outside my house. Perfect!
If you see somebody outside, it will probably be me. Waited nearly 2 years for this- 4

Lol. Let's see what happens
We might catch some of the PPN coming in behind, approaching the B Channel now. Looks pretty beefy- 3

Please don't fade in the Bristol Channel. INTENSIFY PIVOT
Am I seeing a more northern tilt on this front already? Or do I need to make a coffee? Looks like the beginning of a pivot but its way too early for that isn't it?

Wow I think this is meso-cyclogenic. Proper dump incoming Bristol. 5/10cms. Up to 20 on "the Edge"
I woke up way too early but this was a great post to wake up to.

15z UKV also similiar, "bolstering" the snowfall intensity quite a bit compared to previous output. All to play for, for large parts of the West Country. Will definitely be an interesting 24 hours or so, although the downside being an early Sunday morning alarm call may be required.
Running through the animation, it looks like it will hit our neck of the woods around 7-8am. Hopefully that's correct because that's just about bearable on a Sunday morning.- 1

Nice! The EURO4 is usually stingy for snow amounts too.
Alarm set.- 1

The kind of setup where you could see a dusting, and a few miles down the road it could be a memorable day. (And vice versa)
As mentioned already, Feb 1st 2019 was similar and some of us lucked out big time. We weren't predicted much at all, but got around 4 or 5 inches. I think somewhere in our region has a good chance of a prolonged spell of snow. Looks like the further NE you are, the better.

Doesn't work for me not sure why. What other places are mentioned? And do they say the likelihood of it?
That's odd, not sure why mate... but Wales is included too. "There is the potential for some snow, even to relatively low levels for parts of Wales and SW England on Sunday morning."
He does stress the uncertainty though, but when is there ever certainty.- 1

Strange to hear the potential of heavy snow and South West England in the same sentence.- 5

for fun of course, but normal for these days, lows track too far south, South of M4 for snow, unlike 90's where north of M4 for snaw
Too far south for you. IMBYism 101

Thanks for the observation midnight snow, my weather station is at Yate too (parents house) and I’m down the road in Frampton Cotterell. So that’s a red line day for me then with snow falling
Wow you're the exact opposite to me. I live in Yate and my parents live in Frampton- 2

Thought a bit of radar watching could be the cards tonight, but might skip this one. You can just tell it's gonna be frustrating. My expectations are at 0 so anything white that falls out the sky will be a bonus tomorrow.
Model thread is popping off atm. I'm not one to take anything past +144 seriously but do FI charts have more credence because of a SSW event? Or less? -
Still a fair amount of frost, albeit patchy in the middle of the afternoon.
