I’m hoping for a 1st Feb 2019 again where the low just sat over us all day and just kept snowing!!
Yeah I remember measuring 18cm right before the heaviest spell of snow we had all day. It stalled over us and then just kept intensifying... truly incredible. As a one off day for snow, that was probably the best I can remember in my lifetime (Only 30 years old though!) - December 2010 was king for cold and longevity but unless I have a poor memory, I don't recall any days in particular that matched Feb 1st 2019 for snow totals.
Enjoyable model thread viewing tonight too. I don't pretend to understand most of it, but it seems all the ingredients are there for something memorable around the corner. It's been nearly 2 years and I need my fix. -

Hmm.. how come you posted the worst frame for snow? Just had a look through myself and between 1am and 9am it looks pretty damn good at this range. Weird that you posted the 10am frame which is the worst of the bunch.- 3

Just witnessed the first snow symbol of the season on my local Points West forecast, for Monday.
Shouldn't remain too long though.
Seeing it on my Met Office app too.
Yeah probably not but good to see. -

I know that isn't a reply to my post but it could be applied, so how can you post something to disprove someone when things haven't happened? It's just known that things so so far out don't verify, so going crazy about them stating the other experts are already wrong is misleading to other newer members who don't know that.
I had a quick look through your post history and couldn't find one positive post. Even when you had snow you put a negative spin on it.
Don't want to sound harsh but what's the point of being on this forum if your main objective is to moan? -

Even if the snow goes tomorrow it ended with a beautiful sunset
Man... this makes me miss yesterday already. All good things come to an end.
Hopefully this winter goes out with a bang again. One last dumping in March would be the icing on the cake.- 7

I have no idea why a amber warning was put up around Bristol, nothing falling out the sky!

I think I will end up with at least 20cms this is an amazing event
Never thought March would be beaten for many years but I think this will. That stubborn PPN isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

Just measured a little over 5 inches off the table in the garden. Even better than most of us could've hoped for!
First snow for my 8 month old Son and the only time he cried was when we got home lol. Loved it.- 4

Snow always looks better when there's very little wind.
Moderate / Heavy snow for a good while now, happy days.- 7

Chance of some more tomorrow, hopefully heavier bursts if we're lucky. Nowcasting as always so I'm gonna be glued to that radar again.
