Very brief spell of snow for some Saturday, mainly hilly areas. A few less cold days heading into the new week, then the fun starts again

So varied across the region this morning. 3 pictures below. 1st my location, 2nd Stanley, 3rd Newfeild/Pelton Moderate snow falling here at the moment.

Lots of ice pellets falling amongst the rain. Rather heavy and giving a coating of ice on the ground. Temperature slowly falling 1°c now

Still heavy rain with icy bits mixed in. Just looked at road cameras for places 300m plus and no real sign of snow. Temp is dropping here, 1.2°c now

So what has everyone had so far today. Just cold and cloudy where i am at work (Sunderland area currently) Will be heading home soon and noticed precipitation over that way but weather station has recorded rainfall, so not promising lol
