    Morning all! A chilly 2.1c here this morning, with clear skies. I don't know if there's been a frost as haven't been outside yet. First order of the day....Happy Birthday to bjaykent!!!!!!!!!! Have a very happy birthday today. I have to take my youngest to the dentist today, to have 3 teeth removed. You'd think I'd get used to torturing my kids, but no, I'm still dreading this.     Morning all! It's bright and clear here today although a tad chilly with temps at 3.3c. The rain is beginning to dry up, ready for the next lot I suppose. I don't have anything exciting planned today except a pile of ironing, and I'll probably watch TV at the same time, so no big chore really. The biggest decision will be what to watch. Hope you all have a good day, whatever you are doing.

    I expect it'll be here soon then Jax. I've been busy baking this morning. We have scones and a Madeira cake is in the oven. Walk to pub may be cancelled for lunch as not sure if eldest will be able to sit for the length of time it takes for a meal to arrive and then be eaten. Scratching head for alternative now. Expecting the dog walk later, to be pretty damp.

    Aww CK, I am sure you are the perfect Fairy Godfather. I hope the day goes well for you today. Currently 6.3c here this morning which is quite warm compared to of late. It's been raining at some point as my windows are wet. Today we are going out for Sunday lunch today, so looking forward to no washing up afterwards. Have a good day everyone.

I'm sorry you've been subject to some crap over the last few weeks, but from a purely selfish point of view, I'm so pleased to know that I can personally benefit from your decision to settle here in this thread.     Afternoon all! It's been raining here all day and hasn't let up. I've been soaked through twice and covered in mud. Stoopid idea to go trekking across the fields. It's currently 5.3c here and I've had the heating on all day. First time in ages, but can't seem to get warm. Happy birthday today to MPfreeUK. Keraunophile have you found a place now? I see you are packing up to go. I hope it dries up a little for your move and for your niece next week, too. Well thanks goodness it's Friday.     Morning all! Currently dry here with a promise of sun and a temp of 4.1c Yesterday I bought a new whirly gig for my washing as my line broke at the start of winter. I am very much looking forward to hanging my washing out today and I will now time my washing with John's daily forecasts to ensure I always get a drying day. AS I loved your post about the wonderful Daily Express so no need to apologise in my eyes. It was as eloquent as always. Happy birthday today to Sunnijim, Bluebell and Jojo. I hope you have a good day, and I hope these birthday messages entice those shy retiring types to post here in this friendly fred. Hoping to get in the garden today to do some tidying up.
