  1. We've had a loverly day here, today Morning Evening https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/19430-2014-01-11-155154/ https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/19429-2014-01-11-155105/ That's better...save you all standing on your heads.
  2. Morning all. It looks dry and bright outside at the moment, well brightening, considering it was dark before. Temp of 5.1c Today will consist of shopping and making tomato soup. Oh the life I lead. Hope your day is a good 'un.
  3. Morning all. Have no idea what the weather is doing outside as it's too dark to see, and I'm still in my jim jams. We have a temp of 1.8c and I have a bowl of porridge. Happy birthday today to donna-m Have a good day all, whatever you are doing.
  4. Morning all. Another wet night here and a fair breeze this morning. Nice and warm though with a temp of 8.5c May I be the first to wish John Pike a Very Happy Birthday!
  5. Bless your little man. I hope he gets lots of snow too. His birthday coincides with my nieces 18th and we are due to go to her party on that day. So mixed feelings about snow. Plus my daughter has major spinal surgery on 27th Jan and we need to travel to Stanmore so really don't snow around month end, as much as I love it. Still not a lot we can do, the weather will do whatever the weather wants to do, and we just have to enjoy/suffer it as best we can.
  6. Morning all! Cold, dry and dark here. Temp of 6.4c Hoping that signs of colder, snowier weather are on the cards. Looking forward to some seasonal weather. As long as we can all get about on the roads, that is.
  7. The leak on the roof that hubby mended has sprung up somewhere else. It's like a scene from 'Waters of Mars' (Doctor Who reference)
  8. Went to bed with it hammering down and blowing a gale. Woke up with it hammering down and blowing a gale. Madness! Hope you have a good day whatever you are doing. Stay safe!
  9. ...and what shall I do with all these animals I've rounded up? Pleased to say it's stopped raining here.
  10. Morning all! What a wet and windy night we had here. Not sure what time it was but the wind and rain was horrendous earlier this morning. Currently dark, dry, and with a temp of 9.7c Have a good day all, whatever you are doing.
  11. Oh Shotski, A dog is a member of the family and it hurts to lose any pet. I am so sorry for your loss
  12. Been helping hubby fix the roof before the next lot arrives. Well I held the ladders, that's helping. Really grey and grim here now. Temp 5.7c
  13. Morning all. Clear and bright here this morning. Temps creeped up to 1.0c here, but was lower when I got up. Happy Birthday today to Lookeast4winter. Taking the decs down today I think. Then cooking a roast dinner. Not a lot planned for today really. Have a good day, whatever you are doing.
  14. We've also go a leak. In the lobby. It's a flat roof, and joins the garage to the house. Lucky hubby when the rain stops. He can get the ladders out. Currently doing the saucpan jangle as per JP.
  15. Morning all! Another crappy day I see, to add to all the other crappy days. Jax I hope you feel better soon, and I hope your hiccups have gone. Happy Birthday to TotalHysteria, hope you have a lovely day. Have a good day everyone and try not to get washed away.
  16. Oh I would add that the A602 between Ware and Stevenage is majorly flooded near Hooks Cross. Cars are crawling through the mini lake forming there.
  17. Well what a day. Home from the funeral in Enfield and I must say it was horrendous. Came out of the church to hailstones which hurt, a wind that nearly blew me over and watched the burial in the middle of a thunderstorm. All I can say, is I've had better days.
  18. Thank goodness that lot's over with. What an awful couple of hours worth of weather! Going to dash the dog out in the dry spot and then we have a funeral to go to this morning. I hope it stays dry for that at least. I really don't relish the continued onslaught of this weather, but I am thankful that I am nowhere near anywhere likely to be flooded. I do feel for those that are, though. I hope you all stay safe. Take care and have the best day you can.
  19. The 16th Jan has appeared a few times as a turning point, so I'm holding onto the idea of Mid Jan being a goer.
  20. Happy Birthday wishes to Suffolk Boy for yesterday. Sorry I missed it. Happy Birthday today to: Crazysnowcatz4 Clark3r
  21. Morning all hope you have a good evening yesterday and a Happy New Year to you all too. We didn't do too much last night, a few drinkies with the hubby and the dog. The girls came downstairs just before midnight to see in the new year with us and then after the fireworks on the tellybox it was off to bed. There was no revelry outside either, the rain kept all the neighbours off the streets. 2013 has had it's ups and downs like any year. I spent the second half of the year not working due to family reasons. We lost a family member, and my husband and daughter have had health issues, but we've made the best of what life threw at us, enjoyed some family events and got totally immersed in the 50th DW anniversary celebrations. Hoping to return to work in the spring of 2014 after my daughter's major operation at the end of January. We have a couple of 'dos' coming up and I have a big event in May which I am really looking forward to. So from my perspective the year can only get better. Bring on 2014 and bring on the new Doctor I say. May the new year make you happy, healthy and wise. xx
