  1. I love when you have meetings to discuss a meeting. Temp currently 4.4c and dry Have a good day everyone.
  2. It's just rain in north Stevenage. Temp 2.8c and dewpoint 1.6c
  3. Lol, sorry to hear that. Just had the squall line pass through here. Ripped the remainder of the leaves from my cherry tree, they were blow horizontal. Accompanied by hailstones. Little ones.
  4. We got below zero here last night...yippee! -1.5c was the lowest we got. Currently 2.9c and raining. Booo Have a good day all, whatever you are doing.
  5. Please can you include me in the Snow League, Tom. Thank you
  6. Morning all. It is grey and grim here too. Currently 7.5c with no wind. I'm up for Tom's challenge cup too. I will however be measuring in Hertimeters.
  7. Morning all. We are at a steady 5.1c here this morning. Waiting for the first night when we go below zero. CharltonKerry your posts always make me laugh, but I agree entirely about the rugby...priorities. Hope you have fun shopping and everyone else, have a good day.
  8. Evening all! And congratulations! to the Captain! I still haven't been in the MOD thread. I'm so very proud of myself. As long as I don't go in there I will be able to keep up my resolve. But I know as soon as one toe enters that'll be it...I'll be trapped. Been to the Orthopaedic hospital in London with my daughter and not great news, so I'm grateful for this thread cheering me up. Tonight is cold again. God help hubby if he nicks the duvet again!
  9. Stunning photos BB. A mild 10.1c here this morning. Trying not to get excited over the charts JP has been posting. Really hope something comes to fruition, so fingers crossed. My resolution this year is not to visit the model thread, ever. I much prefer the localised ramps anyway.
  10. Me! Me! Me! I can't wait. Thanks Tom. Oh and happy birthday Snow Raven. Enjoy your day.
  11. Morning all! A chilly 4.4c here today with the sun trying to break through the clouds. Rellie visiting today so not much to do outside other than travel to Enfield and then Ware and then back home. Have a good day all!
  12. Morning all. 4.6c here this morning which is the coldest so far this autumn here. Looking bright outside but not planning on doing much. Dog walk and then friends over for coffee this morning. Have a great day everyone.
  13. That storm looks scary. We are so lucky to not experience anything so extreme. I was really hoping to join the meetup this time, but it's Doctor Who weekend and I've already saved the date. 7.7c here and a clear night. If it wasn't night time I'm sure the sun would be shining.
  14. A cool night here at 8.8c. Had a good day. Managed to get out on my bike for a bit plus a couple of dry long dog walks. I wish we had more days like today and not more wet dross arriving.
  15. Good luck Lloyd with your scan. J stands for Jingle surely
  16. Morning all. Nice to see the temp down to a reasonable 8.7c this morning. I was puzzling over John's charts because even to my novice eye I couldn't see the cold in the first ones. Looking forward to a dry patch today...chance to get the bicycle out.
  17. It's still 13.8c here and damp and drizzly. I've had enough already.
  18. BB, I'd have to give out an exact address to pinpoint it, and I don't know if my friend would like that. I've just emailed her to ask if okay. It's okay. They are 6 miles out of Kendal at Crosslands Farm. LA8 0HT. There are no reports of damage elsewhere so they suspect it hit the ground right where they are.
  19. Well she is okay, and I don't know the first thing about farming but this is what she says: Yes.. Buildings a right mess. Trees decimated. Kitchen roof top ridge smashed. Outbuildings with bits off. Cement wall in Dutch barn sucked out. Doors off and twisted. Slates off everywhere. Neighbours have farm now and they were down here and said it was just like on TV.. Eerie silence and then wham. Luckily no one hurt and well insured between us. Turbines are fine. It has literally taken chunks out of silos, new buildings doors off stone buildings, roof off old barn, granary, sixteen roof slipped , garage wall shagged and door off, tops off about 70 % trees at nedy barn one in roof of neddy barn! midden roof lifted and twisted and sheets up field! boards off scaffolding at needy barn, wall out of Dutch barn.. Need I go on... Luckily she was in town when it happened so wasn't in the middle of it.
  20. A friend in Kendal suffered a tornado this afternoon. Done a lot of damage too it seems.
  21. Is Ab Spur on his way back from Pembrokeshire today? If so I hope he has a safe journey.
  22. Afternoon all. Damp and drizzly here with a high of 13.6c at the moment. Settling down for the evening now, with nothing much planned to do.
