Don't forget guys about tonight and tomorrow (don't ramp too much) that no snow will settle unless you have elevation above 200metres

Well I think showers should start popping up over the irish sea in a hour or so,everyone all good for a late one?

Think i'm going to have a break from this site for a couple of days to stop myself getting too depressed...go back to looking at charts/forecasts myself and making my own assumptions...as i've been doing for the last 30yrs...i'm no expert by a long way but i know what's going on...enjoy guys

Forget them showers to the nw.The flow will turn westerly.Look west later,id say 9pm onwards.
how far inland will those showers from the west make it, or does no one have a clue yet lol

Can't see much in the way of showers at all reaching South Yorkshire tonight.
The Meto forecast just goes for the odd shower drifting across the Dales with some slight accumulations there.
The present radar does look more promising than that but showers do seem to be dying around the Leeds area at present so anywhere South and East of there may have to wait until the weekend for some action.
Fingers crossed!

The 'front' that is currently over Scotland, is the one that should hit his tonight, and it looks very intense.
Could be an interesting night.
where are you expecting it to hit within our region, and do we know what time it looks like reaching us currently

faith is fully restored now and will stay that way, the fact it is snowing proves a lot of other peoples points that things can happen without it being forecast

We just had heavy snow when only rain was forecast, so let that be a lesson to you all.

i think maybe the depression from the MOD thread is seeping slowly into here
probably all change again tomorrow anyways -
dont hold out much hope now for showers. Dying fast on the radar and the forecast is for them to die away this afternoon too. Not much showing up on BBC/METO forecasts either so think maybe mostly dry next few days? Shame really.
At least it will be VERY cold, with near ice days next week. I will love that just on its own
Always the hope that some disturbances may crop up....

well thats kids finally in bed, i can chill now, apart from cats trying to eat the hamsters lol, need a drink but dont i know if i do have a drink the baby will wake up
lol, cant wait to see if we did get anything in the morning, as i wont be up at no 4am lol, maybe the snowline that joggs suggested is a good idea LOL
