As boring and grey the weather is just now at least its not blowing a gale and lashing with rain. Possibly a wee bit of cold arriving mid week...but nae snaw..!!!

I remember a couple of years back we were stuck in a high pressure weather rut just like this for what seemed like weeks it took some shifting the temperature didn’t vary much between day and night...horrible boring dull grey mild weather. I was in Bristol today it felt positively spring like not winter at all. Back in 2009 / 2010 the wonderful snow fest we had then was forecast about a month previously by a guy named Joe Bastardi he worked for Accuweather at the time and did a weekly European forecast vlog which was always interesting listening, he is now working for Weatherbell in the US and does a Saturday summary which I check out often to see what the US forecasters are saying v’s our lot over here...last weeks vlog was quite interesting. Bitterly cold all day today, it rained for a while then the ground froze, it was strangely crispy underfoot but still wet, eventually the white stuff arrived it was so good to see the snaw again I love it. A few pics from my Dashcam's.

Amazing eh... I can remember an easterly from 1986 or 1987 I was an apprentice at Rosyth Dockyard and we weren't allowed on the dockside for all the snaw and ice but a pile of us sneaked out and ended up having a snaw-baw fight with the ships staff from HMS Birmingham which was in dock at the time...it was brilliant.

Just back in from digging the drive oot again that wind has a fair nip tae it... The showers have really picked up in the last couple of hours as I type this it's absolutely pish'in doon. Loving it...!!!

This snaw'y weather's amazing...and it's just the beginning. Since around 16:00 there must have been about 4" of level snaw lying here. Looking forward to tomorrow's dumping.

Amazing last few days for snaw lovers...it's been years since it's been this good Beautiful day today so I went for a wee drive around...a few pic's. The temp was showing -5C on the car dash...a bit nippy..!!!
