  1. Haven't been looking too much at charts recently and have only caught up with this snow risk for Sunday into Monday. Looks good for me! Had a boat at the GFS ens for 12z and its not often you see snow risk for every single time frame from beginning to end!!
  2. Whoa! That escalated quickly, full on Blizzard here now
  3. Disappointing that it is more sleety for me here now than earlier. Was actually raining a while ago. Need a temps to drop a degree of two more.
  4. Been off the radar last few days. Had our football club's dinner danceon Saturday night and was hardly fit to lift my head off the pillow all day yesterday. My body can't handle the drink at all these days!! Very heavy streamer has just pushed through there and we have a covering. Looking really good for next two days!
  5. This rain is biblical. Could be serious issues with flooding tomorrow.
  6. No sign of anything white here last night. Just back in the door from u6 football coaching and wind starting to pick up out there. Going to be a fascinating 4 days weather ahead!!
  7. Cheers Steve. This set up reminds me of January 18th/19th 2018 when we got epic snowfall. Here's the chart from then and next Monday. Looks very similar to me, however, I could be way off the mark!!
  8. Not too often you see this, 100% chance of snow from Monday through to Wednesday in Omagh on the GFS ens!
  9. Odd the way the warning is so abrupt through centre of NI. I wonder if this is due to wind risk more than snow risk?
  10. Check out the snow Row (Omagh) for next week on the GFS 12z ens. Not dropping below 90% from Monday to Wednesday!
  11. The 12z has the - 5 850s over us from early Monday morning right through to Thursday on a really brisk wind. Potential there for some serious weather. That's forgetting this weekend's windstorm. Fascinating period coming up.
  12. It was a nice surprise, yeah radar looks quiet now.
  13. Wee bonus tonight, just looked out and it's all white again!
  14. Between Carrickmore and Pomeroy, snow gone belfast side of Dungannon https://youtu.be/1EN0WNUGz0w
  15. Very snowy school drop off! Radar is absolutely loaded too! I have to go to work in Lisburn now, away from all the snow
  16. A wee bit more snow than I thought outside, maybe closer to 5cm
  17. Lovely covering this morning, I'd say 3 to 4cms.
  18. I wasnt enjoying when the car locked up heading towards a stone bridge at about 7pm!! Was needing a stop at Asda to get a pair of new boxers!!
  19. Had to go to an appointment in Derry this evening and as it was raining at 6pm I decided to head via Gortin and Plumbridge. Bad stained glass windowing mistake, was absolutely treacherous from Plumbridge onwards and had to stop and turn around. Serious snow falling. Back on main road at Newtownstewart and snow stayed the whole way to Derry. Fascinating to see the change in the direction of Showers now. Back home and snow is heaving it down now here, the shorter track now coming from west to east is making all the difference. Complete white out outside now.
  20. What charts you seeing @mountain shadow? Are you talking about Northern counties of N Ireland?
  21. First lying snow for me this morning, nothing major but this winter has been so pathetic it feels like I'm in Newfoundland stuck under 12ft drifts
  22. stained glass windowing Baltic out there, just beginning to thaw out after the Tyrone match. I'm pretty confident I'll be seeing first decent snow of the winter tonight and through next few days. Band of precipitation moving up through the south looks to be a wintry mix already.
  23. Might we (higher ground in NW) see our first taste of winter so far next week? Looking cold and showery from Sunday night through the week. High probability of snow showing around the 28th on 18z.
  24. Haven't been on here in days (this winter just not doing it!) but can confirm we had no lying snow at all this winter
