lovely heavy snow earlier, mounted up to around a cm, now heavy rain washing it all away

bad news people, after a good cm of lovely snow, it stopped and now raining

keep the faith peoples, it was wet as anything here after 20 mins of sleety rain, now theres flakes the size of £2 coins and settling everywhere, only a dusting at mo but lovely massive thick flakes, and i wasnt expecting much since everything that neared here yestrday and last night fizzled 10 miles before it hit here xx keep them heads up xx

where abouts are you in peterborough teits? im near city hospital and it far too wet had a good 20 mins of rain- rain/sleet before it snowed

extremily light rain started here bout 10 mins ago, few flakes mixed in as it got a bit heavier, currently is a steady light rain with the odd v small flake, but after around 10 mins still not enough to wet the ground

Just had a 2 min snow shower here, lovely seeing it snow again after this long wait, hopefully a lot more coming, was really nice to see my (nearly) 2 year old saying snow mummy snow x

hi all, just wondering, the bbc forecast shows a large mass of rain/sleet/snow coming for tonight into tomorro and during tomorro day, where is this coming from? just asking as looking at the radars theres nothing really showing, is the small rashes of ppn gonna build? or is it coming but not quite on the radar yet? sorry for the silly questions x

Hi teits I'm also in Peterborough so am keeping close eye on any forecasts haha, earlier on it showed us under a very heavy band of snow during sunday for a few hours but the recent forecast shows a couple of hours of light snow tomorro morning, then rain 1st thing sunday and then a more borderline wet snow/rain mix (heavylookin) later on sunday... fingers crossed they're wrong and it's all snow, I want my lil missy to see snow for the 1st time and not just building snowmen on the film frozen hehe

hi all, new to posting but not new to the site, been a lurker for a long time haha. just thought id ask a simple question please, so everyone is getting moaned at for talking about the where will it snow (obvs too far in fi) but why is it when its due in the next day or so, noone wants to mention it, i understand (esp in my location) the want (and need in some cases ) for snow, people will look out to fi to find it and everyone is being bashed for doing so, but then when it comes into a reliable timeframe, noone is interested in it???? how comes when something exciting is showing up in fi, 0-72hrs seems to be ignored? anyway i also wanted to say well done to everyone for keeping this site interesting and fun to read. im sure your efforts will soon be rewarded (fingers crossed with buckets and buckets full of snow haha)
