Nice little storm brewed up not far from here, loads of thunder heard and steadily raining but no lighting seen so far

sun keeps popping through here, and boy is it hot and humid in that sun, dunno yet if its too little too late or if theres still any potential here in tropical pboro oh well heres hoping xxx

omg must just be the perfect conditions for it, more mammatus clouds incoming, less defined but soo stunning

omg if only you could have seen them around 10 mins before, looked totally stunning, the sun highlighted the edges, looked like something out of the film twister haha, sods law it was on the only day id left my phone at home

around 15 mins ago had an amazing hail shower, within around 60 seconds everywhere was white, also had some amazing mammatas clouds, pity phone was at home so couldnt get pics, soon as i got home got a couple but they were closer so didnt look as dramatic,

OMG couldnt be more in the wrong place could i haha, too far east for the main band, too far west for the coastal showers, the narrow band of nothingness right above our heads, and most likely way too far east for anything monday too. Oh well suppose theres still a couple more months of possiblilities.

definately sleet here, had a bit of wet snow but quickly turned back to sleet, seems too marginal, heavier stuff incoming so fingers crossed x

woke up and looked at the radar, showed all precip moving towards me as pink, when it arrived around half an hour ago, it started as rain, now a real wintry mix, rain sleet wet snow back to rain, back to snow, seems conditions are very marginal, fingers crossed for it to turn more snowy this evening x

hi all, hope your all well, been keeping tabs on whats happening in here for a few weeks now, reading through all your fantastic posts, but im starting to get very confused, i like to read through but cant say i completely understand everything posted on here haha. dont know if its just me but it seems the cold has been kept in fI for quite some time up until the past few days when it has slowly started to arrive in a reliable (ish) timeframe, but the part that confuses me is that the majority of posters are constantly searching for the 'deep in the freezer, 62/63 type snowmageddon' (dont shoot me i do understand this is a weather forum) and i cant get heads or tails of if these 'downgrades/bad solutions' are for the apocalyptic solution most seem to be searching for, or for the good enough chance of having a bit of laying snow situation. hopefully im not alone in the thought that with the past couple of winters weve been put through, and that god-awful spring-like december weve all just endured, that a cold 'snap' with the chance of a couple of cms of laying snow, would be an extremily better outcome than a carry on of this so called 'winter' so far. if ok for us less knowledgeable few please can someone just do a quick update on if theres gonna be cold soon with any chance of snow? im not asking for an imby snow description, just whats the plan for the next few days, snowmageddon would be amazing, my daughters wouldnt know what to do, me neither really haha but the confusing bit for me is with so many searching for the most unrealistic hardest to get solution for any given winter, are we missing (not discussing) a nice normal cold snap with snow chances thats right under our nose, or is even the smallest chance of that disappearing? sorry for all the questions and if its not making sense, i know what im trying to say haha , think i really need to learn more so i can do this for myself xx

hiya all, although i love snow, like seriously love snow, the one thing i cant stand is when we have an amazing fall of snow then after a couple of days it turns into a compact unbreakable ice sheet, esp when the kiddies still wanna play snowballs, its like throwing rocks, soo dangerous, but as people have said, its something we dont see often so for little ones when they see snow no matter how old it is, they just wanna play, those are very dangerous times, so id definately not want a whole winter of constant snow Id say my ideal winter weather if i could choose it would be a snow that fell thick and fast overnight, lasted a couple of days then warmed enough for it to all thaw, a dry day or 2 so the ground is lovely and dry then more thick blankets of snow, just keep reloading for a couple of months or so, now that would be nice. Truthfully thou id like for december to have a few falls that dont settle,( dont shoot me please haha) just to get us all into the xmas spirit while were all running round finishing work, school specials and preparing for xmas, then an amazing deep fall of snow that blanketed the country overnight on xmas eve then some flurries the morning of xmas day, now that would be magical, even if there was only a few flurries that didnt settle from then on, id defo have to go with xmas eve and xmas day magical, traditional, snowy proper xmas

woop woop, very loud thunder heard here looks like that cell near ely is coming straight for me, still some miles away from here but wow that was loud
