Anyone got a link to UKMO precipitation charts, had a great link once but I've somehow lost it!

A frosty start on Wednesday, then largely dry and bright. An uncertain end to the week but probably unsettled and cold with some rain and snow, perhaps disruptive in places.
Wish it could just say...
It WILL snow on Thursday, 5-10cm's Guaranteed, 10-20cm higher up. Everyone who loves snow in the North West regional thread, get waxing that sledge!

UK weather: Snow warning for some as mild conditions to end
WWW.BBC.CO.UK
The Met Office is warning of wintry conditions across much of Wales and England on Thursday.- 6

A note on the Met Apps for here over the last few days temps wise for Thurs, started off at 11 then 9 then 7 then 5 and now it's 3, very good trend I would say.

A good assessment mate and something I would agree with.

This time around I do feel the GFS is wrong, the ECM is normally very good in these situations about 3 days out plus the UKMO is more in line with it which adds more confidence.
I'm still not convinced yet, if we are seeing similar tomorrow then obviously confidence of a proper snow event increases.

GFS still very progressive blowing the low up.

Always happy just to see everything white tbh whatever the depth.
I still think we need to wait until tomorrow eve before pinning down the track as I will never ever forget the one a few years back, amber warning vanishing 48 hours before the event that stayed in Wales and only skirted here after looking so good for a few days. We are well overdue a good one.

Yes, I remember that too, I was in 6th form at the time. We ended up with about 6 inches, I believe you had a lot more up there?

Same here, gone from heavy rain to heavy sleet. Another little tweak and this could be brilliant. I'll get some charts up later.
I've found the met apps to be more accurate than most

Not looking past Thurs, I still think it's not quite settled yet but somewhere is going to get pasted.

Stalling right there by midday would be sound mate

Uppers should be ok at -4/-5 but yeah, could do with a further tweak.

Another 30-40 hours to go before things firming up.
