  1. Its raining, so a welcome feature for my gardens. Nice big convective droplets. Come on thunder!
  2. Well, the sky is darkening and I am expecting rain any time now. But, will it thunder?
  3. Well, I'm hoping for some thundery activity and today. It's currently cloudy out here and feels like it could drizzle anytime now.
  4. Ooh, those? They don't look very torrential to me (but then I didnt think 120 mm/hr was heavy)!
  5. If we had storms all the time in the UK, as good as it would be, I would miss their hit & miss nature. Whereabouts is the location anyone? I havn't got radar extra (though I might soon, thinking about it).
  6. On what radar can you see the lightning for that storm? EDIT: Flash Bang Flash Bang etc beat me to it.
  7. It is raining here, not heavily, but then not lightly either. Sort of medium rain. UPDATE: Oooh, just seen two distant flashes from winchester way!!
  8. Well, today was a flop. We had some rain (even quite heavy around 1515), but no thunder. Also, I havn't seen the sun yet today at all, so I havn't been able to feel those 'hot' temperatures. But, the air seems quite thick though.
  9. The BBC South Today forecast looks good for me, but should I believe it?
  10. Well, its murky and cloudy here, certainly not storm-like.
  11. Well all the radar watching so far has been a waste of time. That Brighton storm looks promising though.
  12. Lovely day again today, but I need some rain to dampen my garden. Bring on the storms!
  13. I'll be honest, I was not entirely sure who Chris was, but I am sad all the same. The sooner a cure is found, the better. Weather-wise, it was cloudy earlier and now it is lovely and clear. Looking good for Friday storm-wise perhaps.
  14. Clouded over now, but has been a nice day. Lets hope those storms turn up for Friday!
  15. Is lightning maps playing up tonight because I supposedly have had a strike very close to me, but I haven't seen or heard anything.
  16. I am currently under that rain that isn't doing much, but there are big old drops in it.
  17. The apocalypse seems to have come to Kent on Lightning Maps . Seems to be the biggest storm in Europe, that one.
  18. I can't see the picture, but a few days ago we had a mouse spider (false widow) in my house... ... and it attacked the paper when I tried to get it.
  19. Hi, I am not to sure myself, looking at the BBC forecast. But the advice I would give is to watch the weather radar (live, updated every 15 mins or 5 mins if you pay) http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=radar;sess= . The more intense bursts of rain would be more prone to Thunder/Lightning than less heavy bits. Also I would go on lightning maps (http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime ), which is a good realtime Lightning detector. Although it doesn't record every strike, it is a good indication of where the storms are going. Both those are more accurate than a BBC forecast.
