    What a miserable old day it has turned into. Didn’t start off too good. Apart from a Morrisons experience and a trip to a wholesale nursery to buy some red currant bushes I don’t feel I have achieved much. Made some nice granary rolls and got a new brew on. Thank goodness I cut the lawns yesterday. Oh for some more nice spring weather. Got plenty of things to do outside. Make a new gate for starters.

    Anyone sussed out the precise location of the vent? Been to Etna when damn all was happening so interested where the action is at the moment. Been trawling. All a bit vague so far just it is the SE crater.

    Nothing much happened here. Very cold. Might be even colder tonight. Tomorrow I start some bacon dry curing. Pork loins on special at Morrisons. If you ask they bring out a whole loin and say what bit do you want? Got over 4kg to do. So I cure them then cold smoke. Then slice . Very tasty. Just like bacon use to be.     As we have disruptive snow once in a blue moon now you can hardly expect anyone to invest in such things as snow tyres etc.
