Nice Spring like day today. Could do with more of that.

Do you mean cm or mm? Just wondering.

Do I need to get my fuscias and geraniums in from the garden? Well the ones the slugs haven't consumed.

Just sussed out that if you touch the very top of the display (above address bar) on an iPad you go to top of page.

Thanks. Tend to use ipad or phone.

Don't know if anyone else has suggested it but a facility to go straight to the top of a forum page I would find useful. Would avoid a long scroll to access links at top of a page. Regards snipper

What in the past? Santorini?

So what sort of eruption would make the Paris agreement somewhat redundant, apart from the world needs better housekeeping anyway? Snipper

As population growth is the root cause of the man made element of global warming a stage is going to be reached when most unpalatable remedies will have to be taken if wars and pestilence does not do the job. Bit apocalyptic I know but that is the way mankind has been heading for years. This is world has finite space and deminishing resources. Better to confront things now head on than than leave it to future generations to try and solve. If you think the problem is complex now it ain't going to get any easier in the future. Snipper

Whatever the causes of global warming are the ever increasing population will cause pressures for this planet that cannot be ignored forever. Why is population control not a high priority? Snipper

Model output discussion - 1st December onwards
Snipper replied to Paul's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
I wouldn't mind. As a family we celebrate what we call Australian Christmas. Started with us being given a turkey, when we already had one. Decided to have the turkey in July. Australian Christmas. Includes presents that could only be given if they had come from a charity shop and cost no more than £3.00. Been briliant when the day is hot and sunny. Funny how the children, little mercenary so and so's were quite happy with something that cost 50p. Ok nothing to with models but probably those who are desparate for snow up to their necks and get uptight about this sort of comment are having their usual therapy session at the moment. Snipper -

Well for what it is worth, after ploughing through all the posts, I have decided that anything in my location is likely to be not too severe. So I have decided not to take all my fuscias into my greenhouse. Unfortunately the usual excitement seems to be going bobbies up. Compared to what some posters are willing. Not expecting a nice day tomorrow but probably seen a lot worse. As a 1946 baby had the fun in past winters of riding down the local river on my bike in my location. Not very often I must admit. Like once. But everything seemed to be so much colder as I was growing up. Floods on the fields followed by very hard frosts so ice everywhere. Probably not the right thread but I am not looking at any of them. S -

[so the flow of Pm air, sometimes rPM with not much of Tm seems the most likely into December to me?] What's that mean? -
Where are all the wasps?
Snipper replied to Fourty Point Three Degrees's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
Found them. Killed them as necessary. Nests in roof of house, garage roof, compost heap and a random hole in the garden. Haven't had one bothering me for some time now. Bet they are ganging up and will pounce any time now. -
Pounds of them.

Goodness knows where my photo went.
