    Think i might have had my lot here now. Last 20mins has just been silly little icy specs, they were icy balls but now they are just specs 8P ! Its starting to thaw now aswell, its sliding off the cars and tress etc. Still i've seen the first decent amount for years so thats given me my fix for now! Is there anymore on the radar for Essex or are these icy things its final act? Regards.

    Well its starting to give it the beans again here with the flakes getting bigger again! Just been out to sweep the drive! Not intending to get the car out, its just something ive never got to do before so i thought i'd give it a whirl! Plus is keeps next doors kids from getting snow from my drive and being around our cars. Regards.

    Still snowing and has been since 5:15ish now! Flakes have not got a little larger again and it is heavier than a few minutes ago :lol: Maybe a little more to come yet! Regards.

    Still chucking it down in my part of Essex, the flakes have got a little smaller though. I would say were approaching 2 inches if not there already. Regards.

    Just took my sister to work and it was almost blinding trying to drive the car! (She is scared of driving in the snow so i happily oblidged to drop her off! ) The roads have all been gritted but its chucking it down so hard they are now all white! Regards.

    I can confirm that there has just been 2 flashes of lightning and rumble of thunder here in essex! Thought at first when i saw a flash i was imagining it but then the only one was clear as day! Regards.

    Are we still looking at the sort of depths that were being mentioned earlier, 10-15cms in places? Whats it looking like for E/A and the S/E, i see whats approaching on the radar but the band does'nt look very thick, are we expecting it to pep up or stall over our area? Regards.

    Im not Steve but your conditions are still very much favourable for snow, i really can't see you getting rain. Your DP is below freezing which is perfect and if you say your temp is dropping aswell then its game on my friend! :ph34r: Regards. Lol Steve beat me to it by seconds!

    If things continue as they are at the moment then Southend could well be in for a bit of a pasting! 8P Check out the radar in the channel and around the chebourg peninsular, some pretty intense echo's and they are slowly heading this way. Regards.

    Nice radar image! :lol: I did'nt realise the band was that wide or intense. Steve, i now see the echo's over the cherbourg peninuslar that you mentioned, impressive stuff and given the current movement theres a good chance it will make its way in the S/E! :wacko: Regards.

    Interesting opinion. But, are you saying that East Anglia and the S/E will receive no snow? The highest risk of the worst snowfall appears to be in a line between Birmingham and Norwich, maybe even this will be a little further south in the end but who knows! On a different note, the ECM for saturday isn't over exciting for my part of the world to say the least! Still plenty of time for improvement tho! Matt

    You would be very suprised mate trust me! I work at an Airport and last winter just an Inch of snow closed stansted for around 2-3 Hours! :lol: Difference in, Denver get snow all the time, it takes a few feet to shut down DIA. Anyway im hoping i see some of the white stuff in my part of essex, its all a bit confusing at the min tho! :lol: Regards Matt :lol:

    Now snowing here in Heybridge, Essex. Only light but there are some big flakes falling, has been going for around 20mins. Matt.

    Very Heavy snow shower in Maldon Essex right now!!! :huh: :lol: We've only managed soft hail showers so far today which did start to settle but soon melted!! :huh: The flakes are now 50p size and its already starting to give a covering even on the very wet ground! :lol: Hears hoping for more tonight!! :lol: :o Regards.
