    The rain has stopped now , been out in the garden and there's plenty of frogs hopping about enjoying it . Can see the rear of the storm and its flashing lightning every 4 or 5 seconds . Cooler outside but the house is still very hot inside .

    Raining quite hard now , Gardens having a good water . Thought the lightning had stopped but just had another good flash and 7 second thunder

    sat in the garden watching the lightning up in the clouds Had some rain similar to last night but its stopped now , Lightning overhead but a good 10 to 12 seconds before you hear the thunder . Day 2 , hopefully more tomorrow .

    Met Office latest weather update has thundery showers for my area from 3am , I'll be surprised if it that happens ! Just had a couple of diverted flights (because of the NW storms) pass over on approach to Birmingham airport , One that was en route to Liverpool and another for Manchester . That's a long early morning taxi/bus/coach ride back for the passengers .

    What a disappointment and not even enough rain to water the garden properly . 1 Flash of lightning seen with one fairly decent clap of thunder . Lets hope that new Redditch cell performs better .

    The back of Dudley and all along the Rowley hills the sky is very dark and menacing . Still only distant rumbles at the moment .

    The cloud its biblical in proportions , like something from a Holywood blockbuster !! Trying to get a pic but too big to fit .... and just heard distant thunder Game on ....

    Mother Nature decreed earlier this year that due to the Covid lockdown the Lincolnshire storm magnet will be placed on the Isle of Man as it's a lot harder for storm chasers to drive there and congregate at short notice

    Netweather forecast for my area has been updated to show 80% chance of thunderstorms tonight between 19.00 and 22.00 . Previous Forecast was showing no Thunderstorms for today.

    A good storm not as intense as yesterdays but I'm not complaining and the gardens had another good watering which is a bonus .

    It's just flew over Tipton and thunder heard as I was typing this .

    I can see distant flashes from that storm out towards Lichfield Just had some rain here but sadly not enough to cool things down .

    Round 2 : I'm seeing distant flashes to the south . Diverted passenger planes for East Midlands airport (due to the storm) passing overhead now in bound in to Birmingham . A few parcels planes that need to go into East Midlands now doing loops over the area .

    Blimey that was a bostin' storm ! Rain wasn't torrential but the gardens had a good soaking The lightning ...... Magnificent Passed over now but the thunders still rolling in the distance Looking at the lightning map I see the main part of the storm did the usual right turn Clyde over Stratford and went up the West Mids storm bypass between Coventry and Brum towards Leicester .

    First clap of thunder , distant lightning getting more defined now . Night storms are ace !
