  7. Strikes showing from a cell south west of Kidderminster .
  8. It wouldn't of come from that cell over Wolverhampton , would of been from the storm over Shrewsbury . It was very distant , more of a crack than a rumble . Definitely thunder though , I've heard enough thunder in my lifetime (46 years) to know when a sound is thunder
  9. Out in the garden and just heard a very distant clap of thunder .
  10. Both NW and the met office have lightning symbols for my location this afternoon (met office into the evening as well) which has to be a first this week as the lightning symbols have been lacking on the met office app forecast . Came so tantalisingly close to a storm last night only for it to fizzle out ! Hoping today is better , certainly feels closer compared to yesterday and the clouds are getting heavier and darker which is a good sign .
  11. Lightning strike on the railway at abbotswood junction between Bromsgrove and Cheltenham has taken the signals out . 5 trains currently at a stand in the area .

  15. Rain here was only a few big drops then it stopped . Heavy dark grey cloud overhead now drifting slowly towards Shropshire border , I'll expect it will kick off once its over the border .
  16. I hope it makes it up here but none of the forecasts are showing rain for here today . Netweather forecast showing storms for here tomorrow night overnight and then another batch Thursday evening .
