    Garden pond has over spilled onto the path , I've been trying to rescue the tadpoles who've escaped . Lighting not so bad now , thunder every 20 seconds or so . That has to be the most lightning I've ever seen in a storm around here , the thunder was continuous !

    Same here , few initial drops when it first kicked off and then nothing . Near continuous distant rumbling now . Wondering which side of the west mids that cell over Leamington will run up

    Very humid here and it's just started raining .

    Looks like that's it for round here for now . Still rumbling away over Wolverhampton at the moment but heading away. Not sure whether to tempt fate and try and get some more sleep .

    Sleep abandoned now pencilled in for Monday !! Woke up again , another set of storms approaching , it's like a conveyor belt of short storms at the moment . Last lot of rain was torrential with hail .

    I also managed to only have 2 hours sleep then was woken by near continuous rolls of thunder . rained really hard for 5 minutes and now its just suddenly stopped . Think id better try and get more sleep before the next lot kicks off !!

    Just heavy rain here now . If I look out to my Northeast I can see distant flashes from the storm over Tamworth with the odd distant rumble . First proper night storm we've had in ages and a superb light show to go with it

    Another plane for Birmingham just flew over at 6000 feet (Malaga to BHX - Info from flight tracker) then a really bright flash of lightning straight after , Not sure if plane was hit ?

    It seemed like it was calming down but we've just had a huge cloud crawler right over the area .

    Deep booming thunder and heavy rain . Just watched a plane flyover quite low en route to Birmingham Airport , wouldn't like to have been on that !!

    Lots of distant flashes and few low rumbles now , no rain yet .

    Distant thunder here now , seeing faint strikes off to the south west so assume that's the storm over Hereford .

    Just seen some elevated lightning off to my south . First storm in the dark (well nearly dark) for ages

    Lighting to the east of me now over West Bromwich , loud thunder but no rain here and the sun is out !

    Underneath those sferics and very excited here , Heavy rain and hail . Nice way to kick off the storm season
