  1. Poor 18:30 BBC forecast snow wise. Cold but dry right out to Monday. Still time for it to change though.
  2. I agree with what you are saying about them being careful but I remember TV warnings being issued in the 1980s about significant snow days in advance. I generally feel they are not onboard with any disruptive snow being forecast in the next 7 days.
  3. He did indeed but he was very unthusiastic about the whole cold snap. Usually if something is brewing you here weather forecasters say something like "stay tuned significant snow next week" none of that in his forecast. When you here experienced posters over on the mod thread saying "best charts since 2010" it's all a very big letdown.
  4. No all cancelled now. Ian Ferguson stated earlier on BBC Points West Wednesday would be the last day of current cold snap.
  5. He appeared to be talking about the cold snap rather than local but I could be wrong. He did not show any concern with snow amounts or the severity of the cold snap.
  6. Ian Ferguson on BBC Points West just now suggesting Tuesday into Wednesday will be the peak of the cold snap. Not looking good.
  7. Current models suggest most places in the SE will stay mainly dry as snow fronts struggle to make it over that far.
  8. It will be for the West lots of snow but not for the SE though mild easterly for them from current charts
  9. Very heavy thick snow in Kingswood Bristol. OMG. Few more hours of this we will have 10cm +
  10. Laughable really I'm out of the warning zone by 9 miles. Live in Kingswood Bristol but Yate 9 miles away is in the zone.
  11. My ol man is gritting the M5 and has been told to concentrate on gritting South of Worcester. Revised Met Office warnings should be issued shortly.
  12. Latest charts show it's all moved South. Most of the Midlands misses out. Disaster for the Met Office.
  13. Get in! Over in the Midlands thread they thought it was going North ha ha.
  14. Yep seems they are pretty confident the system won't be going any further South which seems to contradict this morning's runs.
  15. Snow chances for the Midlands on Sunday now gone on latest run, much further North.
  16. Quite a bit further North. Most of the Midlands missing out based on this run.
  17. Sunday's front a lot further North on the latest run. Not good for us or even the Midlands. Will change again though.
