Motherwell updated to heavy snow at 0200 on the met office app too.

What about tomorrow evening? The BBC forecast has loads of white over us then? Nobody seems to have mentioned that much, are they probably wrong?

Yeh noticed that Friday am has a pasting for here early doors but no mentions anywhere else.

A bit of a non-event here so far... a couple of cms on the hill but just an icing sugar dusting in town.  Ive got my fingers crossed for more later, but have read conflicting reports that the heaviest activty should have been overnight, so feeling a little down right about now, but we'll just have to see :)

Sure there's advice that showers this evening are forecast to merge into a longer spell.

  3. Not getting my hopes up but it looks good.  Over the years here in Bellshill/Motherwell area snow, and indeed thunderstorms, just seem to head towards us then either go North or South and avoid us altogether, best we seem to get is a light covering which fades fairly quickly.  Long range looks to continue the theme of next week, so perhaps, after all this time (2010 the last really good fall of snow here I recall), we might get an impressive dumping.  And a thunderstorm to go along with it. I've seen Thundersnow once in person, and I was only about 10 at the time, in this part of the world.  Long overdue.

Where are you, I'm in Bellshill and thoroughly fed up with the past few years of heavy snow forecasts and it then just goes south and north of here.  It's a weird bit this, the Clyde Valley, even thunderstorms give us a wide berth.....-).  Hoping this time it at last goes right!

    Spot on Nick.

I am based in West Central Scotland and Metoffice are going for 5cms for low ground on latest weather warning for Monday night through Tuesday. (See attached) :yahoo::snowman-emoji:
