  1. This could be the one we've been waiting on up here for over 10 years! Not had a decent storm in all that time. Seems to be more interesting period 12-3am for just east of Glasgow, anyone confirm?
  2. That was disappointing yesterday. The storm free zone we seem to have here kept strong. Still not been a really good storm for over 10 years since the epic one of early May 2006. We've had thunder, a little lightning over the years, but not a really good storm.
  3. Was out running at about 1.30 yesterday afternoon in the rain. Had the thermals on it was that chilly! Today, looking at my back garden, you'd think there hadn't been a drop which I guess underlines how dry it's been prior to that.
  4. Looks like here it'll turn into what Michael Fish used to call a typical british summer, two fine days then a thunderstorm. Today lovely.....
  5. It's snowing in Motherwell, beginning to lie a little, but given we had over an inch of rain overnight it'll not be much. Few miles up the road and Cumbernauld is a white out. Snow fair.
  6. Could this be that once in a blue moon snowfall for here? Oh please........!
  7. I recall back, oh, must be 86 or something like that there was a Forth-Clyde streamer. Started early morning, absolute howling gale and constant snow showers for about 6 or 7 hours. Went from nothing on the ground to over a foot easily and that was in Viewpark area (near M74/M73 junction). Something like that would be most welcome.
  8. I imagine those experts at Exacta Weather are about to promote an epic ice age.....again.....
  9. Knew that'd happen. All looked great until it got half way down the Grampians then this big hole appeared. Gets by here and it fills in. Not a flake overnight and now almost clear

  11. Big train of snow driving west to east across the south of Scotland, not too far from hear but far enough..........
  12. 8At last it lies! Not a flake on the ground 20mins ago.....
  13. Showers are rattling through here in Motherwell. Only lasting a few minutes and big gaps between. Will be amazed if it comes t9 anything.
  14. You can be guarenteed Motherwell would definetly be on that list too.........-)
  15. As they say, this. So many times I've seen heavy snow forecast and we miss out due to being "sheltered from the Northerly wind". Fed up with that!
  16. I'm with you on this. Hopeful of seeing something but so tired of this sort-of set up promising much but delivering actually nothing but mainly blue skies and quite a chill. However, I do recall the substantial snowfall of about six years ago now, it came courtesy of a front moving directly north to south and fell over only around 4 or 5 hours - and created utter chaos.
  17. As the squall went through this morning around 7 had one pretty vivid flash of lightning towards Wishaw. Pretty wild for a spell. That's about as much lightning as I've seen all year to be honest........
  18. Worry not. Exacta weather has been banging on about an ice age hitting the UK all Autumn. Every year. Bound to get it right one of these decades.... It's definetly true. Apart from 2010/11 here, we've seen so little snow and been mostly mild. And thunderstorms have been very scarce.
  19. What a difference a day makes - take a look at this today! https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/espana/canarias/santa-cruz-de-tenerife/playa-de-fanabe.html And snow on the peak of Teide.... https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/espana/canarias/santa-cruz-de-tenerife/el-teide.html
  20. Motherwell yesterday morning..............
