  1. 46 minutes since the last post in the Mod thread. The straw grasping has officially ended
  2. Went out without my coat for the first time this year today. Lovely in the sun. Sydney has no doubt been roasting his chestnuts by the open fire in the sky.
  3. If our Eastely had come 2 weeks earlier we'd have seen similar. Unfortunately the real cold has just retreated too far east for this set up to tap into it.
  4. It eventually stopped snowing here at around 1pm. It'd a shame it didn't settle as it was heavy at times and would have left at least a few cm's.
  5. Well, we've had some settling over night on cars and rooftops. If counted thats 2 snow events this winter. I'm really not sure I can count it, mind.
  6. We've had snow here off and on most of the day. You couldn't dust a cake with it, but there we are.
  7. we've just had drizzle with the odd flake in it for the last 2 days. Poor.
  8. It's still not going to get particularly cold. 3c during the day, if you're lucky.
  9. ITV are forecasting daytime temperatures 'possibly as low as 3c'. Well, colour me 50 shades of unimpressed.
  10. Absolutely. BUT, That's the main reason why I want to experience it. I'm an extremophile.
  11. It's going to get cold, sure, but there was been talk of 1962-63 a couple of days ago... Again.
  12. Have the straws that were being grasped at in the MOD thread been returned to near by Pubs and Bars?
  13. So it 's your fault!? Would you mind moving again?
  14. Which has more or less become the favoured option. The Bay of Biscay is going to get the brunt of it. The Channel Islands getting 70mph gusts. 50-60mph along the South Coast. I don't want to do my bike ride to work in it, but it's nothing special!
  15. It's all relative, isn't it. Chuck an April with UK levels of of rain at a desert nation and they would struggle. Treat the Polar regions to a UK Summer... etc. It IS extreme for us no matter how much of a pasting Moscow gets
  16. it's -2c out there at the moment. Hasn't been above freezing all day. A yellow warning for ice is in place from 4am tomorrow with a 'trivial' amount of rain or snow falling on ice cold surfaces.
  17. it's been lovely here for the past week. minus temps each night, low fugures all day. Sunny, crisp and raw. But still... meh.
  18. Glad others have had flickering lights too. Thought we were going to have to get a spark out.
