  1. Certainly looking like tough several days coming up for those whose jobs are effected by heat, not looking forward to it at all. By far its the humidity that may be the issue, looking very unpleasant at times.
  2. That sounds perfect, little if any breeze where in my area now, its not unbearable by any means, far from it but its enough to force me inside and shelter!
  3. Very much the top end of what is comfortable for me today, the breeze has dropped so to warm to do much outside and certainly i find it far to hot to sit in without the cooling effect of the wind. Sunday looks better though so half a weekend outside in summers not to bad!
  4. I find it so interesting how we feel and perceive temperatures differently. A bedroom at 21/22c for me would be unsleepable in without aircon, not just a fan. My temp is sub 14c if possible in the bedroom. Same downstairs, 21c would be uncomfortable. How folk tolerate different temps has always interested me, moaning about folk moaning about how they personally feel in a certain temperature for me seems pointless at best and when insults start then what ever preference you have its time to grow up in my view. Everybody is different.
  5. But that's exactly what happens in late October/ early November, just change one word..."Nothing remotely cold, as yet...." We all differ, thankfully!
  6. Please show a quote. It is no intentional, i would be interested.
  7. I know what you mean, this is near max to what i feel is comfortable, much hotter and it at first becomes annoying then as the temp creeps towards 30c for me it effects my quality of life, ie sleep and work. Ignore the folk who say your moaning, we all feel the weather differently, one persons hot is another's cool and visa versa. This thread has a specific title for a reason, they seem to forget this.
  8. A good summer doesn't mean a 76 summer...we need a normal uk summer this year, more than any anytime in a generation. ?No washout, no humid uncomfortable heat, something for everybody to enjoy and work in.
  9. What i would call a perfect summers day, got to 20c, lovely in a light breeze, very usable. The outlook look very promising, no vile heatwave on the cards, mixture of settled and transient fronts, perfect UK weather. Fingers crossed July and August show the same. I wouldn't complain at that at all!
  10. Aircon on....elecly bill going up, hello the worst season of the year...( for folk like myself. Heaven forbid i was to generalise)
  11. BBC NEWS | World | Europe | French heat toll almost 15,000 NEWS.BBC.CO.UK
  12. Couldn't agree more, now is not the time for a 2003 extreme and the issues and misery it caused.
  13. To true, one of the deadliest summers in modern times, that is something we do not need at the present!
  14. It certainly does in the strong sunshine at this time of year!
  15. I honestly can't remember any Spring I have felt better in than this current one, good nights for sleeping, hayfever low, plenty of days of useable clear blue skies with a lovely fresh breeze. For me it will certainly go down as one of the best....and cheapest, no aircon on at home!
  16. Got to be honest the run in from June to Autumn is one of the best, just waiting for that drop in light level, the longer shadows, the feel and fantastic Autumn smell...can't wait!
  17. Did this person have a horsedrawn caravan and a crystal ball by any chance...
  18. The journey to the best season of the year begins then!
  19. I hope your joking? If not i suspect you haven't a clue regarding global warming!
  20. Another beautiful spring morning, plenty of sunshine, light breeze, fantastic
  21. Sounds like you've been really struggling, my sympathies, allotment weather it is not, fingers crossed a more balanced and warmer summer may be on the cards for you, even i must admit its not been a great spring for growers!
  22. Sorry? I was only saying how folk feel temps differently. For me 25c plus means staying indoors, not sitting out, not going for a walk, not gardening etc. Time for you to get off your high horse, everybody is different.
