  1. Ah my utopia...i better get house hunting! Sounds perfect!
  2. You've totally lost me there with that post, it's so obvious that any bodies view apart from yours's is wrong in your eyes. Your hostility just makes this so obvious.
  3. I suspect you have a medical issue with your feet then, not being funny in any way, far from it. But that sounds wrong.
  4. Poor weather is a severe heatwave for goodness sake!! What else is it? Your post doesn't make sense
  5. This happens exactly the same in Winter months but the flip of now. UK Winters and cold suffer the same fate!
  6. I do it virtually every working day during summer months, it is the humidity as well that is the most disabling, so my view is a bit twisted by that i agree. 35 to 40c with 99 to 100% (forced) humidity is not nice.
  7. Shorts...i honestly haven't been out of them in nearly 2 years. Must be the work i do, i would be struggling to find a pair of long trousers at home now. I just don't find the cold enough in the UK to wear long trousers now.
  8. Very humid and sticky today, for me the worst of the UK's types of weather. Hopefully next week will drive this vile humidity out a bit, it really is the most energy sapping crap we get.
  9. That would have the street cleared in seconds, folk would be traumatised for months!.....Certainly couldn't do it near the coast, i'd risk getting harpooned by a whaler!!
  10. A good deal more humid today, gone is the lovely summers day of yesterday. Its amazing how a subtle change in weather can make such a difference. Fingers crossed next week brings more of a welcome breeze!
  11. I actually agree, in London every time i've been it has for me been surprisingly cool and welcoming!....but that's my preference of course. Many areas i've been have been fantastic, really lovely good old fashioned British weather, nothing to hot nothing to cold. I'm finding it one of the best summers for quite a few years.
  12. Done 360 miles today, started at just after dawn, all day, North west, north east and midlands, blue clear skies, lovely sunshine, nice breeze, warm, quite warm but not to hot so comfortable, suspect a lot of folk will have nothing to moan about a perfect summers day! Why oh why want anything hotter? For me that is a question i'm still trying to figure out. A very British Summer so far, lovely after what we have all gone through in the last 16 months
  13. I stand corrected by .1 of a degree. The feel of those 2 days would have been very different though due to the difference in light levels and length of day, there is no comparison.
  14. Well that's not right is it. Why post nonsense? Where today was colder than the coldest spot in the Winter just gone at the solstice?
  15. Got to say this Summer is so far proving to be a normal UK summer, nothing of the extremes of the last several years, no debilitating heat wave and no debilitating flooding, for me working in nothing at all to moan about, outlook looks much the same so a very happy chappie for once!......and certain folk say i moan a lot... Canada weather: Dozens dead as heatwave shatters records WWW.BBC.CO.UK The country has recorded its highest ever temperature - 49.6C (121.3F) - for the third day in a row. Now that weather is to moan about.
  16. US heatwave: Pacific Northwest sees record temperatures WWW.BBC.CO.UK The National Weather Service has issued heat warnings for Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho. Of all the years for this to happen after the last 15 months, mother nature can be a right b****h at times. Sadly even more folk will suffer the loss of loved ones now i fear.
  17. I never moan....i just follow your marvellous example and voice my view
  18. So mate you can't quote me then!......i suppose it is tricky to quote what is not there
  19. Your still doing it!! Now your inventing words i never used to describe the UK climate!!Also take look at the thread title......and please quote me on a direct moan i made about the UK climate as a whole? Oh and i hope we can still class this as banter part of the title....i don't mean at all to offend!
  20. Crappy climate? Maritime is different to Continental, crappy is your view not fact,. I know many folk who would prefer the UK climate. You just seem very defensive of your preference, name calling a climate from another country just because you don't like it seems odd in my view, a preference is just that, not better or worse than somewhere else just totally different as we all are.
