  1. Any extreme at the moment is not welcome, heat or cold, dry or wet. A summer like we just had was probably the ideal, no heatwave, no drought. The coming winter, no Artic weeks on end conditions and no flooding would be the same ideal. Mother nature needs to be kind to us for once.
  2. Was one of your late distant relatives named Scrooge by any chance?
  3. Another fantastic Autumnal Saturday, once again the best season of the year proves its point. The light levels earlier just coming through my garden trees was magical. That drop in Sun attitude really makes a difference, no summer harshness, mellow shapes and shadows appear. We are being spoilt this season for a change!
  4. This is what a Autumns day should be like. Literally perfect in every aspect. The contrast to a week ago is massive.
  5. More or less what had been forecast here today, just over 4mm. Fairly typical Autumn weather but still quite humid!
  6. Far better day than forecast in this area, perfect condition's for outside activities. Great Autumnal Sunday.
  7. Your futile attempts to scare me won't work...................
  8. A very nice Autumnal day, much fresher, much more comfortable, not bad at all. Autumn is settling in now, the best season has arrived properly at last!
  9. The prospect of that cooler fresher air brings joy to ones heart...been one heck of a knackering week, weather really does have a impact on your daily life
  10. Came out of site near Dudley today, 42c in room where i was, 18c with heavy rain greeted me......near to heaven as i will ever get!
  11. Top scale warmth today, to be honest tough going at times, hit 46c in one room i was in. As for the BST argument i personally love going to work in the dark, by far i find the best time of any day summer winter whatever is dawn. Getting paid to drive or sit watching that new day start for me is and always will be special.
  12. Not finding the sun has that sting in it that high summer brings which for folk like myself makes it a bit more bearable!
  13. Working in IIford London today, certainly hot, hotter than being comfortable by some degree but not as oppressive as in July, strength of the sunshine is the main factor. Don't get me wrong still bloody horrible for working in but at least this will soon revert to seasonalish weather by Thursday thankfully. Autumn will be here, welcomed with open arms!
  14. Its not a struggle mate for anyone, its a preference. We are all different, nothing to laugh about surely?
  15. Fair to say today was at the very top of the comfortable scale for many, suspect strongly that come Thursday most will be glad of the change to much cooler conditions. Working in these temps really makes a difference, lot harder and a lot more draining.
  16. Fear not, it will soon be gone. Autumn will soon be joining us
  17. I agree. For me its the intensity of the sunshine at this time of year, gone is the harshness of June and July, far more mellow but temps still more than respectable. Humidity also down, again a bonus. Days like this are why September can be one of the best months of the year
  18. What a beautiful summers Sunday morning.....in Autumn! Lovely feel, nicely warm, perfect.
  19. You must work in a shipping container then...you'd be hard pushed to get any UK building that low in temp without deliberately trying! i can only get my bedroom down to 8c in a beast from the East with my windows open all day! And i never never have any heating on upstairs!
  20. Or inversely is it you struggling in temps less than 18c?.....One persons struggle is another's person's joy don't forget! That's my Confucius bit for th morning!
  21. Your very lucky then, i struggle to remember where i was last week, who i spoke to, which clients they where and certainly what weather i had!!.
  22. How on earth do you remember what you did on a certain xmas day nearly 34 years ago including what the weather was like??!! When you were aged 11!!
  23. You can certainly get more done more comfortably in this type of weather than 25 to 30c heat! Becoming a really good bank holiday for all those out door jobs!
  24. It's like we all have our internal thermostats set at a different level, find it so interesting. I'd find 28c far above comfort level heat wise but inversely you'd find my comfortable colder temp far to cold to be comfortable. Is it biology or conditioning? Whatever it is we are all different, thats the main thing!
