Just had my annual review through also, shocking increase, my gas bill(heating only) has gone up to £18.65 a month for the next 12 months!!

Thankfully March is looking good at this range, no unseasonable heat, just a normal mixture, lets hope April follows suit. The longer the vile heat is kept at bay the better.

After such a dire winter at least there is no sign of any warm spells thankfully, hopefully mother nature will supply a lovely cool spring!

I get your point, the lack of heating has been a benefit for those who feel the cold. But that view transfers to summer months for the likes of myself who are dreading a hot summer, the cost of the aircon usage will be crippling. Some of us can't cope without it like folk like yourself require heating on in Winter months.

A good Winter?....isn't that a personal view not fact? By far the worst Winter in a decade. Nothing for those who enjoy the season at all, nothing.

A weekend of actual weather! Makes a very welcome change. The only positive about this winter is energy bills won't be as high as they could have been for many. There has literally not been a cold day so far, winter cold. Just praying this summer is void of long hot spells, the cost for air con will be crazy. A college has just had his usage estimate for the next 12 months...£4.5kjust on the electric. Like me he relies on home aircon to cope. But he does run his year round i admit.

I remember it very well, laid my mum to rest that winter in early March 2014, spent the 3 months up to that traveling over the Pennies to see her, Snake pass, Winnats Pass, any way over no snow was laying at any time....water yes! Worst winter i've seen. MetO's LRF looks fairly accurate to be honest.

With out doubt this will go down as the worst Winter for nearly a decade, only 2013 was worse. Truly shocking the lack of any cold at all, climate change is here with out any doubt at all. Haven't had central heating on this year so far, just praying for a cool summer now..the elec bill could be massive with the aircon!!

Fair point,we are all different, its just like myself saying 25c plus is far to hot to be comfortable, perceptions and feel of temps varies widely. Nothing to criticise, just a difference in how we all live with weather conditions.

ONLY!.....i'd take only 3 days of cold weather this Winter any time. For those whose favourite season it is we aren't even going to get that this Winter! Not been remotely cold so far.

Much above 25c and i try not to go out, yes shopping etc but not enjoyment, 30c plus i never go out!.....at all!

We are all so different i suppose thats what makes us individuals. I don't feel the cold, my heating is very rarely on, spend Winters like this in shorts and t shirts all of the time, never wear long trousers not for even going out in, just get to warm. Opposite in the summer, i suffer terribly, so does by bank balance! What has made this winter so bad though is the lack of interest, nothing but bland mild cloud, really gets me down knowing the possibility of being trapped indoors by summer heat waves is just around the corner.

Pure shorts and t shirt weather....and i'm not joking! Hardly had any heating on at all. May be a good thing to save up for running the aircon this summer though!

This Winter is turning rapidly into a shocker, not even a hint of anything remotely cold. Just hope and pray no Summer heatwaves to come, that would be misery on misery!

Getting this strong feeling another Winter is not about to happen again. Sad times.

Erm....nothing like it, you've got your dates wrong. New years day is just over a week after equinox(winter)..week after summer equinox is 1st july...your 2 months out

16c in bedroom, windows wide open..aircon on standby. New years day seriously?

A truly awful set of temps today, this would be akin to end of June being in single figures. Not often i actually moan in Winter but this type of set up with these temps is repulsive. Least it won't last to long but even then only average at best temps. UK weather has changed at a rate never seen before in history that is very very clear now. And certainly changed for the worst.

Because i'm a very selfish, for me hot summer equals no sleep, discomfort, feeling continually drained and ill, continuous hayfever, inability to get out even for small jobs around the garden, higher energy bills due to air con. The list is long. At least in this weather, as unseasonal as it is most of those effects are not applicable.

Well i can honestly say with the current awful outlook it is looking fairly certain i will be wearing my shorts all winter. Nothing even remotely cold on any model. Just hope we have a cool summer after this crap!

Thank sounds just like something i would say in June! Just change two words, Winter and cold... Only other thing would be i would get hammered for saying it!!

Slowly turning in to another depressing Winter, quite why folk are walking around in hats,gloves and scarfs is beyond me. People still say climate change isn't real.....well mild winter after winter now in the UK surely should surely be a wake up call. Just praying no heatwave this summer.
