    No oddball at all. Just someone who likes a good nights sleep! Summer months for so many is a sleep deprived season, humid nights, the early bright sunlight, 4am chorus, the list is long. For me nothing can touch this time of year, just feel so much more alert and healthy, love it. Sadly the journey back to misery has begun....

    Autumn weekends like this one are as rare as hens teeth, 2 days now of good snowfall, temps not to low to be a real issue and with the drop in wind speed today the gentle silence only a snowfall can bring is magical. Like fine wine, weekends like this should be savoured and its not even Winter yet!

    Now this has been a proper Autumns day. Winter knocking on the door, several inchs of snow fall, 2 more days of good colder weather before a slight relapse on tues but thankfully winter comes in on good shape, love it for once!

    All in all a very poor Autumn in the end, little if anything of interest for the best season of the year, lets see what Winter brings, one can hope! Certainly proves my point, there is vastly more moaning on here in the Summer months from those who's preferred season is then! The contrast is vast.

    By far the best time of year, the Autumn retreat to a cosy night in, curtains closed, fire on, perfect. Love it.

    By far the best Autumns day so far. The first door opening to step out into that crisp air, magical. This is why so many love this season, the freshness and change from the Summer is a real tonic.

    Seriously!! No idea how you can say that. Been working quite a few times this October in your area, nothing comes close to this.

    By far the worst day of Autumn so far, totally unseasonal temp and humidity, so thankful it will be gone very soon. Autumn should be a season of change, fingers crossed this crap is not repeated again!

    Interesting, no rain forecast, nothing, not a drop. Nearly 3 hrs now of heavy on off rain....they didn't get this right at all

    Looks like the aircon will be on again later this week, very disappointing for this time in October, not what Autumn is about at all.

    Windows open, bedroom down to 13c, lovely. Certainly not spoiling that with putting the heat on!

    Not a problem in Sheffield, though i agree women alone not a good idea, in a group no issue. It's just that peace you get from the drop in traffic levels coupled with the quite streets. Clears your head and i just love it.

    Yep, exactly how i feel in March, the dread of that summer season one hates most. The opposite of yourself in seasons but you have my sympathies anyway. As for heating on....long long long way to go before that is even thought of!

    Just had my new Winter shorts delivered. Sure sigh it will stay mild this Autumn and Winter sadly. Still waiting for that first cold morning, the one when you open the front door and feel really alive!
