    Looking very poor for this festive weekend,temps again far to high. To be honest not seeing anything at all in the models to suggest a Winter is now here,very disappointing again. Climate change deniers should take a very hard look at themselves,the uk weather has changed at a remarkable rate,this is not mother Natures doing,it certainly is ours.

    You've got to be kidding me...is this the world we live in now? It will be getting a bit cooler,not cold,not daytime sub zero by any means. Disruption? Health risk?

    Good luck with the kids! The lack of clear skies has even got tiresome for myself! Luckily for myself it is mild(still in shorts) so no heating on at home yet,may change for a few hours this weekend though by the looks of it, much more of a winters feel i suspect.

    Will be glad of a rest bite from this mild wet weather,the up coming colder dry spell is much welcome. A good start to Winter.

    Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a cold wet Autumns day! Nothing wrong with Sixties hits either! You may need to try this a few more times this week,looking a tad cool especially with the wind chill.

    After the battering handed out by mother nature this week for the North of England her better side is seen this morning,blue skies,jewelled trees glistening with frost,grass with that fantastic white translucent rug over it ,near enough the perfect Autumnal day

    Starting to get that circa 2007 feeling again,not good. Sheffield and Rotherham could really suffer tonight.

    48mm in 12 hrs now in Grenoside,no let up,run from fields is causing real issues. The run home tonight will be very bad.

    I feel Sheffield could have a very soggy bottom by this time tomorrow!

    Up at Grenoside North Sheffield roads are flooding with the run off from the fields,sorry can't give exact figures but water logged ground coupled the sheer volume of water over the next 12 to 18hrs will be a problem.

    Lovely Autumn Sunday,coupled with a good drop in temps for the first half of the week is what a proper season should be like. A break from the rain,time to let nature show off. A far cry from the bleached landscape of summer 2018 thankfully.

    At last,a proper Autumn,long time coming,folk forget in Autumn we do tend to get rain. Loving it Best season of the year by far.

    To me it feels unhealthy to have a indoor temp much above 20c. Its also costly for no real benefit.

    No where near cold enough yet. House downstairs nice 18c,kept upstairs 15 to 16c with windows open so good for sleeping in! Been in the house 16 years now,never had the stat over 20c,government grant for insulation sees to that.

    The only hatred i would have of Winter is if it was mild,apart from that for me what's not to like!

    How wrong could the forecast have been. Fantastic autumns days,clear sky,gentle breeze. So far removed from what was expected. That coupled with the outlook makes this October one of the best for years.

    So that hard white stuff on my car windscreen and my neighbours windscreen this week was a figment of our imagination as we scrapped it off this week ? Wipers didn't do it,hard frost not really but cold enough to scrape,again you read into my post something that's not there....I'm not the silly one here
