  1. Found this Spring one of the best for years personally, hayfever has been nearly nonexistent, good temps for working in; Lots of usable weekends without the discomfort of sweating in heat, hardly had the aircon on. Summer looks to be starting on the same vein so a very happy chap!
  2. Lovely late spring early summers day, nice breeze, blue skies, good temps....whats not to like.
  3. I agree.my tolerance is low but that is due to my job,8hrs plus in a non ventilated room at 35c plus,90 percent humid plus is a norm. The hotter the weather the more i suffer work wise. Sorry i could have put it better,i apologies. But what that does mean is that what is cold for most folk is still shorts and T shirt weather for me! Worked this whole winter in shorts due to the mild conditions. I don't ramp up the winter weather also,i know and fully understand that many hate the cold,it can be very difficult for so many, just as prolonged heat can be. Sorry if i've offended in any way,not my intention at all.
  4. Been saying just the same for months now, unfortunately its not looking good at all. Quite a few on here don't seem to grasp how bad it really is.
  5. A repeat of 2018 would be very hard for many to take i'm afraid, also extremely hard for wildlife and farming. I know folk on here seem to wish for conditions like we had last summer but a normal UK summer would be by fat a better out come. Ramping up the heat,as many do in my view just antagonises the folk who suffered last year. Sleepless nights, fatigue for those who can't tolerate heat well is not something to be taken lightly. I agree, its a sad demise of a once great site.
  6. I appreciate how folk want longer days but for me the drive into work watching a sunrise is far better than daylight at 4:30am,those sunrises are just wasted.
  7. The long slog is nearly done, less than a month till a slow return journey to those lovely dark evenings in front of the fire and waking up to actually see a sunrise!! Can't wait
  8. One thing we do need this summer is rain....and a lot of it!
  9. Today has been the first humid day,not nice at all, hopefully the weekend will bring something better.
  10. By far the best spring weather wise for me for quite a few years, temps have been fine for working in just about, weekends haven't been to bad really, aircon not been on so a win win really, long may it continue! Just need a lot more rain, that is still worrying.
  11. Thankfully, its been bad enough this week workwise, last 2 days 6 plus hours each day in 35c temps with no ventilation is not nice trust me!
  12. Sorry to hear your still needing the heating on,even though i love these temps a more balanced May would be welcome, spending money at this time of year to keep warm can't be much fun.
  13. Use the aircon in the bedroom only. 20c is the turn on temp, anything over that and i struggle to be comfortable sleeping even with fans, can't have windows open due to traffic, Hence summer can be very expensive for me,this May is proving very good for me money wise! Long may it continue
  14. Loving this May so far,my hayfever has never been so good at this time of year and no cost of runing the aircon yet, looking good into the start of June as well, love it
  15. Some really welcome rain for the pennies today, farmers and wildlife will be much relived. To see the hills in such a dry state at this time of year is worrying to say the least, hopefully another spell of good totals by the end of the month.
  16. Fingers crossed your right, another 2018 summer would be very tough to take in the UK,the lack of rainfall would be a major issue.
  17. 6c daytime in Sheffield in May...lovely jubbly. Only wish it could stay like this for a few more days at least!
  18. Try driving in Norfolk, the fog isn't fog its dry soil hanging in the air. Farmers here are praying for rain.
  19. It shouldn't be the heat we are looking for this Summer, its the rain we should be praying for. A lesser version of 2007 would do very nicely.
  20. Hope its not been to bad joking aside,i know what flooding can be like.
  21. Fingers crossed the Atlantic will provide so much needed rain this summer, there is no doubt we need it!
  22. So many folk either are not understanding how serious this could become or just don't care. We need a lot of rain and soon.
