  1. That's only your opinion though...definitions of cold do vary, one could call that nice and fresh!.....Happy Birthday by the way!
  2. Really unpleasant late August day, very humid, heavy cloud, little breeze...nothing to like at all. So looking forward to those fresher conditions pushing in,a lovely change. Bank holiday weekend looking good as well, bit of rain,no washout but so much fresher, very nice!
  3. Field engineer....i travel to go into boiler houses! Normally 3 to 4 sites a day.depends on travel time. Can be up to 18hr days.
  4. Sorry your missing the entire point i was trying to make. I may be wrong,i apologies if i am but i suspect i travel far more on a daily basis so i tend to notice any variations in a single day. I wasn't stating the statistics are wrong i merely was trying to say the feel of any specific setup can feel totally different to different people in different locations even when the figures are pretty close, sorry should have made that clearer..
  5. In your opinion. The title of this thread say's it all really. Its not the statistical evidence thread...
  6. I tend to rely on the feel of the weather not statistics. Location can make a massive difference also even if the distances involved is not great. I tend to do 300 miles plus a day hence i tend to notice variations. One location can have a totally different feel regardless of what the figures actually are.
  7. Most Summer days are humid....really? I think you'll find they aren't! Being surrounded by water doesn't mean constant humidity in summer. Very very surprised you came out with that one,no idea why you'd think that, very strange.
  8. Got home after a round trip to a pretty comfortable Cirencester to a very uncomfortable humid Sheffield, the difference is marked. Humidity is by far the most uncomfortable weather in the UK for me,it brings nothing, just sweat and dehydration, pointless crap which hopefully will be gone by the weekend. Can't wait.
  9. You Southern Softies, always moaning,,come on when have you ever heard me moan about the weather!.............
  10. The Bank Holiday weekend is shaping up nicely for my area. 16 to 18c,bit of sun, just right for a end of August get out and about, lovely. Nothing to moan about there at all!
  11. Yeah your probably right....least a 2 day Autumn fri/sat is better than nothing! Even i wouldn't have a flutter on any GFS chart, especially that far out.
  12. Looking at the current model output.....hello Autumn,my dear old friend is returning. Loving that after this Summer!
  13. Sorry to hear that. Us up Naarf have had a beautiful summers day, nice bit of sun, lovely August temps. By the looks of it something a bit better for your neck of the woods next week....fingers crossed!
  14. I work in 95%plus humidity so i agree my view is a bit skewed,to me 65/75% is lowish, just my body adjusting to a drop, hence it feels more comfortable.
  15. Really enjoyable Summers day up North! Low humidity, broken cloud, feels lovely and fresh, plenty of sun....whats not to like!. Sorry if your still stuck under cloud, not good at this time of year at all.
  16. I would class this morning as near perfect Summer weather, maybe lose a little bit of cloud but with that fresh breeze it still would be very comfortable. Long may it continue Very usable and enjoyable. Plenty of sun,but not to much.
  17. Eh?...lost me completely. I was just making a view,no idea what you mean by that, sorry.
  18. At 4am waking you up,natures alarm clock is a pain! Waking up as nature wakes is far far better i find.
  19. Another really nice start to a Summers weekend, could get used to this, bit of broken cloud, lovely breeze 13c,very nice indeed! So much more refreshing waking up without that racket at 4am from the wildlife and actual waking as the day wakes, feels so much more natural i find.
  20. Sorry to hear that, hopefully nothing to bad is coming up for you weather wise, shouldn't be looking at the models.
  21. I'm not going to argue the relative pros or cons of dew!! If you have a fungal spore allergy you have my total sympathy any allergy is a at best a pain at worst life threatening. More suffer from allergies in the summer due to pollen though than in the Autumn/Winter due to fungal spores though. You can't deny that surely. Do agree with your last post fully though, late August into most of September for those effected by fungal release can be bad .
  22. Tree pollen season is normally March to Mid May. Suspect you are getting weed pollen problems, still not nice at all https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/pollen-forecast/#?tab=map&map=Pollen&fcTime=1534503600&zoom=5&lon=-4.00&lat=55.71
