  1. That's because God bestows the best weather to his own county!
  2. As i thought next week is looking more or less dry with only a few incursions of rain for most after Sundays much needed event. Not sure why some folk interrupted the models to show 7 days of rain, can't work that one out. Lovely start to a weekend, blue sky and 9c slowly warming up,perfect summer fair!
  3. We are in for the usual mixed bag over the weekend for a UK August, today has been cooler i agree, cold not a chance. Will be warming up again next week, low to mid 20c,nothing wrong with that at all,bit of cloud, bit of rain but mostly dry. And yes i have looked at the models, that is my view.
  4. To be honest not a huge fan of the GFS precip charts,i'v noticed this in winter, the amounts especially in my area are out by a fair mark on many occasions. But i agree low 20c is pretty well useless over the holiday summer period if heavy persistent rain is coupled with it..
  5. I have seen the output, for the most it's showing a mixture of showers but mostly dry weather. It's not showing rain everyday in south Yorkshire by any means. Not checked your area i admit but probably somewhere near the same. Bulk of any rain coming Sunday after that showers mainly. No washout at all as see it but some helpful spells of precipitation may well develop. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0/2647920
  6. The much needed rain is due next week by the looks of it for the farmers and wildlife,at last the corner might have been turned for those areas. Long time coming and very welcome i suspect!
  7. For me it was just about perfect, bit of sun,bit of cloud, really lovely Summer conditions in my view.
  8. Fantastic day work wise, fresh, nice breeze, ability to cool down exiting sites,no headache. Very nice indeed, very happy chap
  9. So much more i've found. Stats don't take individuals perception or view of weather into account. Memories are far far more important i believe. At that specific time at that specific place the feel and tone of the weather can be vastly different to what the stats portray. Stats have their place but are of limited use in many occasions, they can distort what actually is happening with regard to how the weather actually feels on the ground.
  10. Very hit and miss, some quite sharp ones about down the central spine of England at the moment judging from the radar https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/observation/rainfall-radar#?map=Rainfall&fcTime=1533698700&zoom=5&lon=-4.00&lat=55.45
  11. B*****er i missed that one!! Last time i listen to the BBC or ITV or CH4 weather! It was like looking out at a unexpected snow fall in winter!
  12. Just started raining in Rotherham, feels like the first shower after being asleep for a long time, feels and smells lovely. Not forecast at all.
  13. Looks nice, bit posh for me though in Leeds. Probably look like that today i bet
  14. Not sure about that Pete, just got a feeling September might bring something more to your liking, there's hope yet for a last outdoor swim!. I know how much the Winter months effect you.
  15. This morning is what summer should be like, comfortable, easy to live with.
  16. None, allergy free since birth I can't describe how much i'm looking forward to feeling alive again, this summer has been the toughest since 2003 for me,the next few days are going to be bliss, can't wait. At last i can get some outdoor work done at home!!
  17. What a awful day, hot, sticky no breeze, vile. Its like mother nature is just torturing us before bringing in that lovely fresh comfortable blanket of cooler air tomorrow, can't wait. It will be heaven by Thurs/Friday!
  18. No that was normal after the late end to Winter. Extremes of weather stop folk wandering around shopping, hot or cold extremes, makes no difference.
  19. Its not just the farmers who have suffered this summer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45090941 In their own words "can't wait for Autumn to come"!
  20. The only pool i've been in this summer has been the pool of sweat around where i've been stood!
  21. Nature certainly doesn't,that's for sure. Octobers are ruined by mild/warm weather, nothing settles down ready for winter, then when the colder weather does come things haven't adjusted properly. Seen it many times.
  22. Nope your blinking right there!! Showed that report to the staff in the office where i was, every one and i mean every one groaned and said it can B******er off now,we are sick of it! But as you say the weather will do what it wants,no amount of moaning and groaning will change that.
  23. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-45085034 Can only hope and pray this is wrong!! The last thing we need! Can you imagine the impact on farming?
  24. Really looking forward to the change this week,it'll be so refreshing not to get home dripping with sweat and have a banging headache! Autumn the best season of the year is around the corner, after this summer can't wait for it to arrive!
