One more day to go of this unseasonal muck and then a long needed Autumn can hopefully begin. 2nd week in October and i've had to put the a/c on. Not good at all. One of the worst starts to October in many years.
Why? its a weather forum, not a preference forum. Personally i am struggling to think of anywhere else i would less like to go in November. Humid sweat box...no thanks
Good to see a 10c plus drop in temps by next weekend, thats more like it. Looking like a lovely clean fresh northerly as well, clear this southernly unseasonal muck out at last. Autumn at last!
I see what your saying but the bigger picture for me negates everything else. If we had a flip in Winter, record cold or storm activity it would be the same, we are stood on this track watching this unknown future coming towards us and this Autumn for me is just showing how much trouble we are in. The unknown future appears to be accelerating, for me the time for enjoyment has passed. The extremes will become the normal sooner than any of us could ever have envisaged.
I get what your saying totally, my point is the extremes are factually becoming more common, we are possibly seeing a Autumn never seen before. I can't see any positives.
Nothing cracking about it. Very worrying is a far better phrase.Clear sign of the trouble we are in, just look at Scotland today. This Autumn could prove to be one of the worst ever recorded.
Got to be honest, finding the current feel to the weather repulsive, warm, humid, sticky. This is Autumn, a season of coolness, freshness, not this utter crap. Not pleasant, not needed and not welcome at all.
Warmest September on record as 'gobsmacking' data shocks scientists

This year is on track to be the warmest on record after September temperatures alarm scientists.
This Autumn is certainly proving to be a possible tipping point, awful temps, and no end in sight.
