Finding this a total waste of a weekend, totally unusable weather, to hot to sit out, to hot to sit in a beer garden, to hot for outside jobs,to hot in the house for housework.....good job the Rugby is on!...Next week will be a blessed relief.
Its been one of the toughest weeks i've had, not helped by all those London calls i must admit. Top temp was just under 49c, unworkable in the 100% humidity. Only good point was the kit was tripping out so there was time for some cooling breaks.
Roll on next week....it will be like utopia after this week.
Thankfully the end is in sight for this heatwave, far more comfortable conditions especially for Northern areas by monday, far far better week on the cards for working in so feeling a bit more positive.
Because you just listed all of Northern Europe....the key is in the Northern bit. You could say the same for southern latitudes. Countries differ in size and position.
Thanks...suspect its because of the summer we've just had, this weather hasn't allowed any acclimatisation time, it is very tough.
On the plus side hope you can enjoy this week mate....beer garden weather it is if your off from work!
We service and repair the autoclaves, they use 130c steam, it has to vent, CQC regs state no aircon, no outside ventilation for infection control, somebody has to look after them
There is no choice mate, without the kit we were servicing today folk would have been left in pain due to cancelled ops. There is myself and the MD, we run the company, if the work isn't done, we don't get paid.
I personally would require a frontal Lobotomy to stand any chance of enjoying this kind of weather, 44c today, just over 4hrs in it, only going to get worse where i'm booked to go....my good mood from this summer has gone, feeling very down and unwell now.
Wrong thread mate
Dreading this week, one site i know very well just south of Croydon will be literally hell on earth, kit will be cutting out again, not able to condense and temps pushing the high 40's with full humidity. Won't be there for long, nether will the nurses!
