  1. Don't know wether to add 1 to my total or what?? Had an impressive Ts at Norwich at 8Pm whilst on the Norfolk Broads today. Any ideas anyone, if it's any consolation my home town of Rayleigh had a storm today also. Paul Sherman
  2. Midnight here in Essex. We are in between pulses of thundery rain moving up from La France. Temp is 18.6c and light South Easterly breeze making it much more confortable than of late. 100 % cloud cover. Paul Sherman
  3. Had the most amazing cloudburst in Central London at 4pm today with 20 minutes of extra extra torrential rain, only a few flashes of lightning though with no thunder. Paul Sherman
  4. Storm League Tables Updated to 6th August 2004. All i can say is what a week, the best week of the summer by a long shot with 179 reports of storms against the previous best of 67 from 3-9 July'04, but not all areas saw storms last week, notable areas with no storms were East Sussex,Kent,Essex,Cambridgeshire,Norfolk,Linc and North Yorkshire, you can virtually draw a line up the east coast, good to see over 30 new members also. Next week looks just as good as last week so I should be busy again. Enjoy Paul Sherman
  5. Much the same as Stu London, Was offline yesterday and took the wife out for her birthday in the evening, but at about 4pm yesterday heard 2 bangs of thunder and 1 flash of lightning although we did get 16mm of rain, so not all that bad Paul Sherman
  6. Because the server was down last week, have only just updated the Storms to 30th July for last week, Well done to Katie L for topping that week. Just seen your reports Thunder and Andy, and yes ut's 3 to you Thunder and 2 for you Andy (Stormguy) collating info as we speak. Paul Sherman
  7. At Last............We have a thunderstorm in Central London, impressive Cg bolts and loud thunder. Paul Sherman
  8. Unfortunately due to the site being off-line from tomorrow the Storm Reports for the week ended 30th July 2k4 will be updated on Wednesday 4th August 2k4. This is due to the new server not being ready in time. Happy Storm Reporting And next week looks Fab IMO Paul Sherman
  9. An unbelievable 25c at 8Pm here in Essex, very cloudy and miky skies now, hoping the fresher (if you can call it that at 26c) weather brings clearer blue skies tomorrow. Paul Sherman
  10. Amazingly the temp at 1030pm was still 21.1c, very cloudy and humid outside. Little or no wind. Paul Sherman
  11. Not much Info to sort through this week though guys   But there is always Friday, we live in hope. Paul Sherman
  12. Andy, 3 weeks to go until the Big Premier League Trophy is wrenched from your grasp.  Adi, It is a bit embarrassing that i am doing the league and am top :? :? But all the reports have come on days when most other people in Essex have also had storms, the only thing is they do not always report them, so I cannot add to their total if they provide no data. Robert in Glasgow could well be spot on though, he raced into the league and said Glasgow gets lots of storms in the Spring but said us southerners will peg him back when the true summer storms arrive Paul Sherman Ps Maybe some one could do a snow league table with coverings/showers etc???
  13. Much appreciated I Luv Snow, when it's a busy week there is a lot of trawling through the pages, this years record of 20 pages is nothing compared to 10-12th August last year where I think we had 38 pages of reports    Paul Sherman
  14. Just updated your storm Phil_UK from thursday, now added to the weekly and overall leagues. Paul Sherman
  15. Weekly and Overall Leagues Updated to 23rd July 2k4. A very good week as only 2 days had real thundery events being Saturday and Thursday. It was on a par with the thundery outbreak of 2 weeks back with a similar amount of storms reported, very good to see quite a few new members posting also. The top of the overall league is getting really close, something to watch over the next few weeks. This week does not look good  But there may be some thundery stuff towards the end of the week. Paul Sherman
  16. Lots of Sheet Lightning with distant rumbles of thunder towards the Chelmsford area. This one has crept up on me. Massive crash of thunder just then to my south    Paul Sherman
  17. You are right there, the further east you are the better tomorrow night, so Southend area could have it's 2nd Severe Storm within 5 days Paul Sherman
  18. League Tables Updated to 16th July 2k4. Not a very good week, but this week looks much better  Paul Sherman
  19. Not great i'm afraid Timmy, just a heavy shower with nothing electrical this time  Still earlier has made my day if not month. Paul Sherman
  20. What a day!!!!!! Now have very heavy rain from the start of this line of showers moving east. Paul Sherman Torrential now!!!
  21. This is No exagerration, this storm is moving north so you should have it soon, the worst around the Southend area for years. I have some in the deep freeze, it is amzing almost spikey and six sided. The garden is still full of the stuff. Paul Sherman
  22. This is the worst i have had this year, table tennis size hail, I have put some in my freezer, amazing spikey looking thing, massive thunder and lightning now for about 45 minutes. Paul Sherman
  23. Storm League tables will be updated on Wednesday, sorry about the delay, i'm away for a few days. In any case only 8 storms were reported last week   So not much movement on the ol table. Paul Sherman Here's hoping next week brings more action packed weather
  24. Adi, I think the only reason is because Robert H from Glasgow has been on holiday for 3 weeks He is back soon   Paul Sherman
  25. Weekly and Overall Storms Tables Updated to 09th July 2k4. A very busy week, the busiest of the summer!!! Storms were spread evenly across the country, only places not to see them were Wales and the South West. But also amazing locality of some storms with Most of the South East & Thames Valley seeing storms and Suffolk and Norfolk missing out on most of the action last week. Stay Safe Storm Chasing Paul Sherman
