Thanks Tom
Today was a really slow burner but still ended up seeing 3 Supercells, HP, Classic and LP.
The night time classic structure over Roswell was amazing, everyone is buzzing pics to come

Arrived in Roswell, had a delicious soup for lunch (Cheese Provelene) then had problems with a petrol pump but got that sorted quite quickly. Everyone now shopping along main street waiting for the aliens to initiate a storm.
Drive down was uneventful, but saw some great trains

Starting today in Amarillo and chasing in New Mexico for the marginal Risk
If last week is anything to go by we will not have Internet coverage for the entire time we are in New Mexico and it works perfectly when we get back to the NM/TX border so streaming today will probably only be on the last part of the chase.
Hoping for some structure today

I will get John to post his pictures here today

Groundhog day, after yesterdays stunning Supercell it looks like a rinse and repeat type of day with a lone Supercell looking likely to track down I70 from the Castle Rock area. Probably our last chase day in Colorado for Tour 1 although she does not seem to want us to go.
-
Chasing today the front range of the Rockies, hoping for a storm or two before we head south east to the Panhandles for some dryline action tomorrow.
Hoping for some Colorado magic

I also had zero internet for 45 minutes yesterday between La Grange and Bridgeport so nobody would have seen anything anyway.
Cant please everyone, best thing to do is either book a tour or go out yourself and see how easy it is getting the 1 red dot on a map 5 times the size of Europe

Looks like a brief window of opportunity today with early afternoon brief Supercell before the Cap kills convection. Chugwater to La Grange for us today before heading south for the Panhandles over the weekend.

The stream wasnt in the usual place?????
Bit disappointed in the team, no updates or comments to us at home.
The structures and hail on other chasers feeds were pretty awesome before I fell asleep.
Very dissapointed in this response Matty to be honest. My number one aim is for my PAYING guests and keeping them safe whilst around a Dangerous HP Supercell, not only dodging Golfball Hail, navigating my next move with a Tornado in a field next to us about 500 metres away, sometimes your mind slips that the streaming might have dropped out. When its easy with a dodge city tornado then thats not a problem.

Burlington Inn!! Chinese for tea then? or Maccies?
should be a good day to ease in the guests!
No No No
Much better restaurant opened here in 2016 and we went there, lovely meal and stayed at a new hotel over the road near the Best Western
-
Starting today in Burlington with target of Eastern Wyoming for some upslope storms which will hopefully become Supercells.

Paul

Correction to the above
We are chasing in Western Kansas today so see some lightning and maybe some gusty outflow winds, more solid risks tomorrow and Friday.

It seems an eternity but its finally come around, Chase Day 1 on Netweathers Day 1 looks like the short jaunt from Dallas Fort Worth to Illinois. Its doable if we leave Tuesday and ping off a few hundred miles then travel into target on Wednesday.
Looking solid for all days after this until early next week so hitting the ground running once again.
Will update on the specifics and mesoscale nearer wednesday
Regards
Paul

John
Can you add me on facebook. Name on there is Paul Botten and my profile picture is the same as my little icon on here. Can then add you into the Tour 1 chat thread.
Also if Sarah Cox, Gregg Lees, Danny Stephenson or Ruby Wiltshire are reading this, can you also search for me on facebook (if you are on there of course)
We have a Tour 1 Chat thread going which is a life saver if conditions change overnight and we need to leave hotels a few hours earlier than planned for example.
Cheers

06z GFS firming up on the background signals from the EC Weeklies along with other factors promoting a significant US Trough coming through from the 14-18th May. This was the active 2nd half of Tour 1 I was talking about.
Cant wait to get the 3 cars set up over the weekend so they are all ready for everyone on Tour 1

On this mornings models could be a 2 way split for Tour 1
Quiet Start
Busy End
Lets see how it plays out, plenty of time for things to crop up at the start, but at least its showing some decent risk days now

It is about 3 miles from the Airport to the Hotel or about a 5 minute drive. Never got a Taxi myself but Uber were dirt cheap according to some of last years guests

Hmm, not sure how I'd get there as I'll be dropping off a hire car at DFW at 3 ish...
There is a Free shuttle bus from the Best Western to the Airport.
But one of the Cars will stay back and not chase anyway to pick up the guests arriving on the BA Flight which lands at 325pm. Just bare in mind they might not get to the car rentals until 5pm after clearing customs. So the Free Best Western Shuttle bus might be quicker if you are dropping off the hire car at 3pm

You might have to meet us at the hotel instead
For the lucky ones who are in early there could even be a bonus chase day on the Tuesday only 75 miles North of the Hotel, so it would be a start and finish at the Best Western. This sounding is for just north of Gainsville (Texas) on Tuesday next week. Thats why it always pays to come in a day early I say.
Sounding below - There are also Marginal Tor soundings for Wednesday and Thursday so could be a decent start to the tour

I can’t wait.
Do you have a list of preferred model sites and essential chasing sites? I probably know most of them but may have lost a few - such as those giving out real time dew points Cheers.
Just the usual Ed, SPC Meso has all the T/Td's etc and Satelite Pics, Baron will have it real time once thats set up and on the move. Pivotal Weather is a great site also for cross models etc

Hi Paul. I will be at the same hotel: BW Irving next to Walmart ?. I will be out and about during the Sun and Mon but should be able to meet at some point.
Not essential on those days but definately on the Tuesday as you never know we might have to pick up the last 4 from the Airport and head North, its not a defo we will be staying at the BW on the Tuesday night yet but its almost 100% looking at the 500mb pattern for next week. Could be some Northern Plains action though next weekend.

Starting today in Roswell New Mexico and today sees the long migration North towards the Northern High Plains. Hopefully picking off some storms along the way.
