  1. Yeah looks like another significant day if models are right. The SPC has upgraded to a moderate risk with a massive hatched risk for Hail up to 45%, with the hatched area from Iowa to the Texas/Mexico boarder. Also a 30% damaging wind risk in East Oklahoma and North Texas. Finally that 15% hatched tornado risk for SE Kansas, a lot of Oklahoma and North Texas. 10% hatched from far south of Nebraska to Central parts of Texas. Unfortunately quite a lot of damage yesterday so lets hope any tornado today stays over the fields of the plains. Preliminary reports from yesterday are saying 100 reported tornado's but probably more that wasn't seen/reported.
  2. WeatherArc Yeah this could have easily been a moderate or even high risk day with 15% plus hatched, but its gotta be hard for the NWS to decide what to do. Also wow to the damage below. Nice CG lighting in front of the tornado.
  3. Ryan saying its coming towards more populated areas again.
  4. Some of the tornado's today from a variety of chasers. This is crazy. A historic outbreak.
  5. Another tornado emergency!!! Massive wedge in Iowa.
  6. Also captured some stunning structures and bases from the storms in the plains from the chasers.
  7. Ryan Hall on YouTube will be doing live coverage for all these potential severe weather events over the next 4 or so days starting today. Looking like the most impactful outbreaks this year yet if all goes as modelled. Reed Timmer might have multiple adrenaline coughs through this .
  8. Fiery sunset tonight. Was a rainbow too but couldnt get a good shot if it.
  9. Another nice little hail shower here around 30 minutes ago, was unexpected, but came down quite a bit for a minute or 2 .
  10. Arnie Pie Yeah can tell those are the same cells from a different angle, the one on the right produced the best mammatus on these cells. Looking forward to plenty more stunning structures and obviously storms to come this year hopefully . Got a good feeling though how active its been already even in the South today.
  11. Heavy showers around here, missing out on the heaviest but could see them not far away by rain curtains and virga, was hoping they would turn thundery but the main activity looks to be in the NW at the moment.
  12. 2024 is off to a cracking start for some. Can easily see the high sheared environment so not surprised to see some of these storms are long tracked with hail and possible funnel clouds. Nice to see some in the Midlands too. Looks like a hook or 2 in South Wales.
  13. Small but very intense echo between Cardiff and Newport with quite a bit of lightning.
  14. Another hail storm and gusty winds, this time left a small accumulation up walls.
  15. As convective season is well underway now, think its time to turn all the attention to storms now. Some lively hail showers here today with some gusty winds. Also some nice cloudscapes between the showers. Surprised how much lightning has been in some of the showers in the south. Hopefully a good sign for the rest of spring and summer.
  16. nobble Might need to put some insulation in through the warm months, as you never know next winter could be the one (again)
  17. Was sleeting a bit here too, wonder if they will start to turn more wintry if they continue pushing in this evening as temps fall. @nobble sorry to hear about your house because of snowless February
  18. Not related to the upcoming possible snow event but came across some flooded roads earlier near Bescot from the torrential rain we had from the convective line that came through and the heavy rain that lasted a good few hours after that, didn't expect it to be quite this wet today. But temperatures starting to fall tonight, feeling a little chillier now.
