  1. Stunning sunset last night with the rays and developing cells in the west midlands last night causing sky shadows whatever they are called but there was some very vivid colours even more so than the Saharan dust earlier in the week.
  2. Some of the pics today are like they are from the US plains. Can see the tops and anvil from here from thr Midlands storms.
  3. Been in the garden all afternoon couldnt hear anything from here, but can see the tops though.
  4. Quietly monitoring the skies and radar today so far, first shower in the SW Midlands, near the Welsh boarder.
  5. Already feels ripe out there, incredibly sticky, been a while since i felt this level of humidity. Also hotter tomorrow, if these storms pop off, some places could be looking at some locally very active storms i suspect, same on Sunday too.
  6. Humidity is incredible, feels like mid July. Hoping for some massive storms this weekend. Hopefully without damage though, (if they come to fruition with the large hail). Would be nice if a very active MCS or line came through the entire region to give us all some action.
  7. Yeah CG bolts, shotgun thunder, some of the heaviest rain i've seen with flooding widespread locally, pretty much like the 16th June 2020 storms and also the 28th June 2012 event, but without the large hail, although some pea sized hail was in it too, along with some very strong gusts as the gust front came through. Also yeah last Septembers storms gave some stunning lightning.
  8. This time last year quite a few of us were about to see those overnight storms that happened on 2 consecutive nights for some of us and some daytime cells at times too. Looking to this week and into the weekend, like others, will be keeping an close eye on developments, first for Wednesday Night and then for the weekend. I remember September storms in 2010, 2014, 2016, 2022 and now hopefully this year. The 2016 storms were pretty vicious here. Best of luck to all for some late season pyro.
  9. Im sure i heard 2 very distant rumbles today but nothing was showing near by when they happened so it may or may not have been but some pretty cloudscapes again today.
  10. I aint got a clue whats going on today, 2 times hours apart ive heard what sounded like distant thunder but nothing was showing at the time . Also yeah i noticed it was comfortable early on then got quite fresh.
  11. Yeah ive noticed there a bit more of a chance today so definitely a day for eyes on the skies and radar. Thunderless August so far so hopefully we can get something later.
  12. Surprised some said this July wasn't going to be as bad as 2012 but i think its been near enough as bad, with how wet its been and cool temperatures. Surprised how muggy it feels today though.
  13. Couple of snaps from another Milan webcam earlier, the storms just missed the city today though.
  14. Some nice convection here atm, looks like a few new showers are developing.
  15. Some nasty looking storms on this Milan cam, a lot of lightning too.
  16. Literally like October! Rain, wind and cool temperatures. Shocking July. Hope this cooler than average conditions is a sign for winter, usually don't work out like that but who knows.
  17. Sfrics just to the SW of Birmingham, Torrential shower here too but no thunder.
  18. Yeah was almost a gale out there earlier, knew it was gonna be windy but how strong was surprising.
  19. Even though not had any storms today the sky has been stunning.
  20. Nothing here, storms missed us to the West and East and left us with nothing but a single rumble and moderate shower, some beautiful cloud scapes though, will post some later.
