  1. Just caught the edge of the Wolvo storm, saw 3 flashes and several rumbles, and a few convective drops.
  2. Looking dark to the SW now, might just miss us though, unless something develops on the eastern edge like its been trying to a few times.
  3. Towers everywhere, looking and feeling very Florida like now. First strikes in the Midlands too West of Worcester.
  4. Was thinking that too, or at least been a very long time, a very good sign for later here and further NW, also surprised they are moving at a pace.
  5. Dunno whether to stay put or to head a little to the NW later. Might see how things develop and decide later, but i have a feeling things are gonna explode this afternoon in some parts of the Midlands, Wales and NW England.
  6. UKV 12z looks a little more active for Saturday and Sunday, potent storms around the welsh border and West Midlands tomorrow and in a line down towards the Chilterns. Sunday looks a little more widespread as others have been saying and storms could fire in Wales, Midlands, and parts of Ireland and Scotland too. But there looks to be a small cluster developing on Sunday afternoon/evening across the Midlands. It will change again but promising signs are still there that there will be some storms about. The charts reminds me a bit like 27/28th May 2018 and the week starting 13th June 2020 when there was also low pressure to the SW bring warm, humid air, the only difference this time is that it will be hotter. Also may be similar to 28th July 2008, when the temps reached 30c and scattered but potent thunderstorms broke out later in the afternoon and evening. All in all though starting to get a little more excited now.
  7. Strange seeing the same cloud on stream then looking outside and its right in front , who knows if some of us around here can squeeze out another little storm before the day is done. Nice Anvil developing on it now too.
  8. Been watching this grow the last 15 minutes and its development is rapid, lightning on it now, about to hit Much Wenlock.
  9. Clearer skies out West leading to yet more convection, seeing the top of a cell just to the south of Shrewsbury i think that popped up out of nowhere in the space of 5 minutes. No lightning on it yet though.
  10. Cells popping off in the West Midlands again . We had 40c last summer with no thundery breakdown. Today we have this. Just shows what can happen if we have the right ingredients whether its hot or not.
  11. Decent May thunderstorm, a lot of lightning, some shotgun thunder and a lot of rumbles even constant at one point, even had some hail with the downpour. Caught a bolt on cam. More looks to be building behind the main storms too. The East and Southeast should join the action later.
  12. Same as others, thunder every couple of seconds or so, heading towards us.
  13. Much darker in person, camera doesn't do it justice. EDIT - Thunder heard!
  14. Looking good so far, very dark to the West looking towards those showers/storms.
  15. Pretty sure it was as i tracked it on radar for quite a bit and it continued spiraling, if it was first one I've saw since 2017.
  16. Not much here today except a couple of rumbles from a near by cell as it moved away to the NorthEast at around 3ish, a part of it seemed to have developed over us too as we had a few massive convective drops. The pic below is of that cell. Another beautiful day for cloudscapes though. The thunderstorms in the NE, before and as they were decaying look to have formed into a MCV with a swirl to the system.
