  1. Best snowfall since 23rd Jan 2021, another a cm or 2 and it will be the best since the beast.
  2. Yeah can confirm that a bit over 3cm here. Edge of Bloxwich, Leamore side.
  3. Small icicles beginning to develop, something i didn't see in December's or January's cold spells .
  4. Light flurry here atm. Most probably not reaching the ground as there is virga.
  5. Is this front arriving earlier than forecast and will it affect the snow chances overnight tonight whether its for better or worse? Although i just heard its meant to slow down and the colder air to the north is meant to undercut it. Radar watching and lampost watching from tonight .
  6. Ive heard there will be very low dew points with this coming spell so that should help snow and the cold feel. Sub zero with the wind chill.
  7. Looks like this coming cold spell is gonna happen as all models are beginning to show something similar now, GFS, ECM, METO and GEM. Could get more upgrades through the next few days. It looks as though it will last around a week but that will change too. So hopefully we can get deeper cold and lasting longer with plenty of snow. Certainly look like there is more chances of significant snow with this one than other spells this winter.
  8. Even with not much snow, this winter has been impressive for cold and frosts. Wonder if this SSW can help us get a decent snow event before the winter is finished. Ill be watching until mid/end of March.
  9. Temps much lower than forecast again, a frequent thing this winter. -3 currently.
  10. Close to -4 I believe, thought it would of been lower though as the sharpness of the frost is similar to Decembers when we had below -5s.
  11. Only patches of snow left here now, but still very icy where it is. Very frosty already and some light fog starting to develop.
  12. Like others have had, nice surprise seeing another covering this morning in places it melted yesterday.
  13. Heavy snow just ended, just light now but from earlier showers and the recent, its gave around 3cm.
  14. Sods law strikes again with the trough over Ireland, moving SE, but the East end of the band weakens just where we need it but remains heavy over land in Ireland . Hope Cheshire gap can give something more as we go through the night.
  15. Quite a bit more cloud looking to the NW now. That mass that was to the West of Scotland has reached Northern Ireland now and still a decent mass of showers, no circulation anymore but even if we get some of it, a few places will still get a covering. I'm especially watching what happens when it reaches the Irish sea. Promising
  16. Yeah merging more, and getting heavier, more showers coming onshore around Cheshire gap and North Wales now too.
  17. Im keeping an eye on the feature off the West coast of Scotland, looks like some circulation is beginning and its all moving SE/SSE, so hopefully its developing a small low and reaches us tonight.
