  1. Some have reported nothing falling even though the radar showed something recently though so the radar maybe be a little wrong @sheikhy
  2. Seems to be developing in the Irish sea, that should reach more Western parts, but whether it will be rain/sleet or snow there remains to be seen.
  3. Looking better for central/some eastern parts of the region later today, the west is a bit more marginal. Arpege still has snow especially for more eastern areas of the region with a narrow part showing as rain for more Western parts. Euro4 show pretty much the same. By 9pm tonight, Arome gives a line of accumulation right through the central midlands and slightly towards the east of the region too. Just as the above charts show, more western areas looking like sleet or rain away from higher ground due to rising DPs but more Central Eastern areas might do well. Lets hope many of us can get a few CMs top up.
  4. Still a good bit of snow laying here especially on grass, but partly still on roofs, parts of pavements, and edges of side roads. With temps dropping tonight i think its safe to say that its laying longer than a day at least. Hope to get more tomorrow and the parts which stayed as rain get some too.
  5. Lake effect showers off the channel into northern France. Been going on for hours.
  6. Id say around here we have around 5cm on most surfaces but up to 10cm on grassy areas, slushy on the roads now and drip drip everywhere, but what a start to winter even though its not until a few days yet.
  7. Absolutely stunning, wow!! What a morning so far, and the snow being blown up the windows is a thing i haven't seen since even before 2010. Sky looks full of it, and coming down very heavy again. Also glad we put the decs up yesterday and decorated the window, the scene matches outside now .
  8. Winter wonderland out there a few CM's and still coming down, most snow in November since 2010 for sure.
  9. Sleet here atm with gusty winds, heard a piece of slate fall from the roof. Heavy snow and settling at the winking man. 10. Snow cover extending west now, reaching the far East of Europe, still good over Scandinavia but white pixels gone from Scotland, they should return in the next couple of days.
  11. This could be a minor shortwave pushing northwards, keeping an eye on it. Could bring some interest.
  12. Probably won't happen like this, but the theme continues of some possible interest for Sunday.
  13. Some impressive cloudscapes here and some even more impressive mammatus under the anvil of the Birmingham storm.
  14. Yeah they have disappeared for me too without any updates or anything.
  15. Hopefully more areas can catch a storm later too, as its a good chance they will be severe. Also clouds going different directions here at different levels.
  16. Just had the first overhead thunderstorm of the year so far. It was decent with a dozen visible flashes, a lot of thunder, torrential rain and bits of small hail. The petrichor after the hot and dry spell recently is lovely. The pic of it approaching, sorry its not that good.
  17. Like others have said a direct hit here in Walsall, seen around a dozen flashes and a decent amount of thunder, and some torrential rail, saw a couple of small hail stones too. The petrichor is lovely.
  18. Developing nicely around here now and the nearby showers visible. For the past hour though been seeing towers shoot up all over, hopefully something pops off more soon as there is not much lightning left in the Midland cells.
  19. There is this one too that affected a lot of the country and gave Bournemouth a very impressive display, the evening of July 3rd overnight into the 4th July 2015.
